Next season is gonna be interesting, all bar City are in a period of transition.
Well, he wasn't accused of racism and I am aware of his record elsewhere, but unfortunately its what he does in the premiership that counts.

As for City, I don't think they've finished yet. I can see a few token English players being retained (Lescott, Johnson, Milner - Barry deserves his place), but I think other quality will arrive to replace the nutjob and the Argentinian dwarf, at least.

A big issue for Liverpool is Gerrard - will his fitness continue be an issue?

Dunno if it's just fitness anymore, not sure if he can adapt his game like Scholes, Giggs and to a lesser degree Lampard. Gerrards always been about explosive power and pace, obviously combined with technique.

He's a few years younger than Lampard but obviously Gerrard is on the wrong side of his best years. Gutting really, he's one week older than me, I've seen a decent youth player grow into, at his peak for 2 years, the best player in the world IMHO. Up there with with Dalglish as Liverpools best ever.

Gosh,I never realised Gerrard was in his early 50's !!

But talking about Stevie G......he's widely tipped to be the England skipper for Euro 2012.
But do you think he is still international class ? Surely England cant include both Gerrard and Lampard in the squad and Lampard might be the better bet.
Shame because Gerrard was an awesome player at his best.

PS:Same applies for including both Ferdinand and Terry in the squad....just one should be picked.

You cant compare Gerrard with Dalglish,Gerrard cant manage ten games on the trot without getting injured. He is liability. You want players on the park not sitting in the stand.

hulltoon, if you take off the blinkers and read BaaBaa's post, he's talking about Gerrard's overall career, not his performance now. I imagine Gerrard has been with Liverpool for 13 years or more, and he must have getting on for a hundred England caps.

Whether you like him or not, whether you support Liverpool or not, it's hardly unreasonable to call him one of Liverpool's best ever...

Dtaa-maai,if you take of your blinkers off and look at stats. Dalglish was twenty six when he went to Lverpool and won six lge title, three euro cups, seven charity shields and that was just playing for liverpool, plus what he won with Celtic.Liverpool i most favour in England. If you are wanting to win the league you need fit players every week.look at how many full games Gerrard has played in the last three seasons :thumb:

I still think you're missing the point entirely, but I don't care enough to press the issue.

Half Time scores are lovely, will I be as happy in about 50 minutes time?

Oh dear oh dear - QPR take the lead against City, I'm weeping for my banker.

City need an injection of pace - and a prayer.

Having seen a Williams win an F-1 race for the first time in 8 years, I thought my Sunday was perking up.

Congrats to Citeh - well done - a pleasant change

Well, Spurs did what they had to do and for a while there, I thought that Woy and West Brom had done what was needed against the Arse - it wasn't to be

So - now we have to wait for the outcome of the CL final

I would (reluctantly) have been supporting Chelski

Needless to say - not now

Football's a funy ol' game as they say.
