OK Pete

What is it? All expenses trip to the Singapore GP? :duck:
I was thinking of the Hanoi GP. You do have the honour though of being in line to knock off RZR who continues to torment me in the football fantasy league. Pete

Four races in now and four different winners. I thought wow, are we on our way to a season record with the most different winners? Probably not per the below, but possible. I couldn't find a stat concerning the most different winners consecutively starting with race #1. If someone can find that one please post. Pete

"Which season has seen the most different drivers winning a Grand Prix? asked Carl Howe

The most open of F1 seasons was 1982, when no fewer than 11 different drivers stood on top of the podium. Alain Prost, in a Renault, won the first two races, before Niki Lauda (McLaren) won at Long Beach, Didier Pironi (Ferrari) at Imola, John Watson (McLaren) in Belgium, and Riccardo Patrese (Brabham) in Monaco. Watson won again in Detroit before Nelson Piquet (Brabham) triumphed in Canada. Repeat wins for Lauda and Pironi in Holland and Britain were followed by victory for Rene Arnoux (Renault) in France, Patrick Tambay (Ferrari) in Germany, Elio de Angelis (Lotus) in Austria and Keke Rosberg (Williams) at the Swiss GP at Dijon. Arnoux won at Monza, then the season was rounded off with victory for Michele Alboreto (Tyrrell) in the Caesar's Palace GP in Las Vegas. Rosberg's solitary victory, allied to consistent points-scoring through the year, was enough to earn him the world championship."

I don't know what the record is, but 4 (from a season start) has definitely been done before. It was discussed on the post race Star sports show. Not sure if 4 drivers from 4 separate constructors has been done before (neither were they...)

Definitely not our normal bowl of minestrone soup this week. No one picked Maldonado to win, and in fact no one picked him to be in the top 10.

Richard had the best week this week, I think for the first time this season and last.

Our top four are Terry, Pitsch, RZR, and Parahandy who bumps JJ Bones down to fifth.

Monaco is up in two weeks on May 27, good luck to all! :thumb: Pete

1 ▲ 1 Terry 39.00
2 ▲ 1 pitsch 38.75
3 ▼ 2 redzonerocker 38.50
4 ▲ 1 Parahandy 38.00
5 ▼ 1 JJBones 36.75
6 - Pete 36.75
7 - Vital Spark 35.25
8 ▲ 1 lindosfan 35.00
9 ▼ 1 BigBoy 35.00
10 ▲ 1 Richard (yellow cap) 34.00
11 ▼ 1 pharvey 32.25
12 - JW 27.25

Pete: Why do your figures not tally with the SuperGuru site? According to them Pitsch is on top with 39.25 points. Or has he been put back a place because of lack of fuel... :D

Well done everyone ahead of me, but I'd just like to make a little speech if I may.

We've been away from Thailand for about a month. Left for the UK on 11th April and spent the following two weekends with my mum (she's not a fan of F1). Being a dutiful daughter, I didn't insist that she sat through the Chinese Grand Prix, and, wanting to watch the race on our return to Thailand, didn't know who won it. The following weekend was my last day at Mum's house, so sat and chatted, drank endless cups of tea, and nursed her lovely cat Billy. It was well past midday on Saturday when I realised that I hadn't made my pics for Bahrain. When I finally found her laptop (and the power lead) I made my picks. Vettel on pole, etc. Bugger! I was too late. Missed the early bird points and pole position point - 3 points down. Damn! If it hadn't been for the cat and tea I would be ahead of Parahandy.

Ho hum, just caught up on the two missed races after getting back here last Thursday. The Chinese race was a cracker, and Bahrain was pretty good too. Just finished watching the Spanish Grand Prix and it was equally exciting and unpredictable. I did, however, think it a bit unfair to put the Hamster at the back of the grid for (what I consider) a minor offence.

Looking forward to Monaco. Normally a pretty boring race, but with what's been going on this season it could be a goody.

As far as the pool is concerned I wouldn't want to bet on who's going to be top at the end. Even JW could be in with a shout if he makes a few lucky picks.

No idea? I took the readings and did my report at about midnight Spain time and all the other results were in. Perhaps I hit the window when all wasn't updated, but there was no notation of such on the site. In any event, apologies Pitsch, below are the corrected standings. Pete

1 ▲ 2 pitsch 39.25
2 - Terry 39.00
3 ▼ 2 redzonerocker 38.50

I saw today that the fastet pitstop has changed to Ferrari, therfore I got 0.5 points more, which put me in 1. place. Monte Carlo will be difficult because usually many cars fail to make it to the checkered flag.
