hi guys
Im looking for a bit of advise on a marriage visa i have been reading on some of the threads on here but getting a bit confused, i come to thailand december and settled in HH in janaury my visa is a non imm O 90 day multiple entry. We married in england two years a go and now have an 15 month old daughter. We went to the HH imm office in march to apply for a marriage visa we had all the paper work or thought we did but they wanted the english marriage cert stamped by the british embassy in bangkok so we went there but had to fill out a disclamer they wouldnt stamp the cert and they said they have told imm in thialand that, any way they stamped the disclamer cost 2700BHT by the way they gave me an two month extention in march 1900BHT. Went back to imm HH yesterday now they have given us a letter of so much more paper work it just seems imposerble to do, When we went there in march they where asking for 5 iterms writtern in thai and english now the letter is only in thai and asking for iterms that they didnt ask for the first time, My visa expires on the 21 of this month will it be easier to do a visa run which i have never done before ?
many thanks sticks

Re: marriage visa
sticks,
I've recently had to get a similar stamp on my son's English Birth Certificate. It is done in Milton Keynes. Details can be found here: http://www.fco.gov.uk/en/about-us/what- ... alisation/
There might be a similar service somewhere in SE Asia, but I can assure you that this one works, it's mainly done online and is very fast.

Re: marriage visa
This verification of a British Marriage certificate is now a requirement for all at Immigration. We as a British couple had to get ours done last year and friends are at the Embassy this morning getting theirs done. It seems the problem is the word 'copy' on the certificate and the fact that it is certified and not notarised! At the Embassy we were asked to complete a form and this was duly stamped. It is called a letter of affirmation.

I should learn to read properly. I see you've got a multi-entry Non O. In that case, there's no panic for time. Just exit the country (say from Ranong to Burma), turn around and come back in and get another 90 days permitted to stay stamp.
As always, you can apply for the extension with the last 30 days of those 90 days so it gives you more time to get your papers sorted out.
