Anyway, lets hope Nani goes to Chelsea
Hang on... you're surely not talking about the same Nani who has stated 'They were big boots to fill in that position when I came here, but I've won over the United fans and my next goal is to be the best player in the world' :?
Berbatov rejoins Spurs
We'll give you a couple of million for him sure. He makes a half decent back up striker. :D

Fergie really messed up when he started his last of the seasons 'mind games' by saying - 'If City were to lose this it would be the most crushing blow to a team since the new league started'. Well I doubt anyone has ever felt as bad as United and their fans felt about the ending minutes of a game, since United pipped Bayern in the last few minutes of the Champions League final. Irony at it's best... and in 'Fergie time' no less.

Don't really like both of the teams, but seeing Ferguson doing his weird little facial tic/muscular abnormality thing, trying to downplay the hostile rage and self importance building up inside of him in order to appear a good sport to the public, is just priceless. :D

Well done to both teams nevertheless... same points over the long run. Heads and shoulders above the rest of the competition.

:D

Particularly enjoyed the look of shock and horror from the clapping supporters at 0:26.

Us lower placed fans are used to that look amongst the crowd on occasion - not United though.

Blimey, what have we done to deserve that? :?

Thankfully, there is more chance of McLeish becoming your next manager! :)

If there's ever been a dopier looking/sounding player than Jones, I haven't seen him yet. (Yes I've seen/heard Ian Dowie before you start mentioning that chap) :D

Well the future certainly looks bright for Liverpool now. Dalglish sacked for pissing 110 million pounds of transfer money up the wall. These guys in charge mean business I think but, I don't think they realised they were up against the spending prowess of some of the richest people in the world. We may see a fair big investment from their part to get Liverpool up and running again with a fresh (I mean that in both senses of the word) guy calling the shots.

Could be very interesting and I'm sure Liverpool fans are seeing the sudden potential the club has for next season.

Funny old game though isn't it. Comolli got the boot from spurs for buying underperforming players yet he played the most part in getting us the likes of the mostly overperforming Gareth Bale, Younes Kaboul, Luka Modric, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and the late Dimitar Berbatov (a good season and a nice profit).

He got booted out from Liverpool for the same reasons but maybe in a few years his purchases may start to make good too.

Yeah, except we received 70 million and reduced the age of squad. Only Downing was pissing money away, Carroll was overpriced, but it wouldn't have been a great idea selling our star striker and buying nobody in their first week in power would it?

Yeah, actually thought of that after I'd posted but couldn't be arsed to change up the whole of the first post so threw in the second post regarding transfers and the guy who's played the biggest part in 'em (steering the signings away from the recently sacked).

Could all come good methinks. Not just regarding the signings but the team as a whole.

Dalglish wanted them, he's accepted responsibility for them, obviously Commolli negotiate the fees though.

I've already said we've got a good core of a side, obviously the points total wasn't good enough though.

I'll state now I want Benitez back, unless your gonna get Guardiola (I know it won't happen for the record) and throw cash at him I wouldn't see the point in getting a Martinez/Rogers in when a manager with Rafas CV still lives on Merseyside and loves the club.

Hhhhmmmm! This Brendan Rodgers guy may be cut from a different cloth than your other British losers on the managerial merry go round.

Found this interesting considering Di Matteo is getting lauded as turning things around.

Dalglish was a great manager in the 80's and early 90's with Liverpool and Blackburn but after that he was mediocre at both Newcastle and Celtic......he couldnt adjust to the way the game has changed over the years.
Cant see Mourinho or Guardiola being interested and Martinez would be a big gamble.
I do tend to agree that the best hope Liverpool have of bringing back the glory days is Benitez......failing that,Roy Hodgson might be available again after England crash out, pointless, from the Group Stages of Euro 2012 !! :D .......but lets not go there,eh.
