Welcome to the forum. The question has already been asked here viewtopic.php?f=4&t=19418. You will see that buksida has advised that very little is usually known until 3 weeks before the event.

Well we still have nothing from TAT or the official organisers so it looks like another farcical year of changing dates if the event is held at all.

If anyone has any info at all please update this thread with it.

I contacted Rene at Mephisto Jazz as he is no longer involved with the event he has no idea when it will be held this year.
(I am wondering IF it will be held)

Chill Out at the River Jazz Festival 2012 in Bangkok

The River Jazz Festival will be returning to Bangkok on June 30th and July 1st 2012, featuring acts such as the Glenn Miller Orchestra and Lisa Ono.


BANGKOK, THAILAND, May 23, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Top international music acts will perform in Bangkok at the River Jazz Festival 2012, which will be held on June 30th and July 1st at the Asiatique The Riverfront venue.


Visitors will be able to unwind to the sound of live performances by acclaimed acts such as the Glenn Miller Orchestra and Fourplay, against the scenic backdrop of the Chao Phraya River.


The first day's programme will see the Glenn Miller Orchestra treating audiences to renditions of classic songs such as Moonlight Serenade and Tuxedo Junction, with local act Koh Mr Saxman offering support.


Day two will showcase the talents of Japanese/Brazilian bossa nova singer Lisa Ono and contemporary jazz act Fourplay, as well as Thai singer Ben Chalatit and jazz orchestra The Quartet.


Performances get underway each day at 19:30 local time and tickets cost 1,500 baht (GBP30.20) for one day and 2,500 baht for the whole festival.


Those visiting Asiatique The Riverfront for the event will also find a wide variety of shops and dining outlets at the location

I've been reading various snippets about the uncertainty hanging over this year's festival & it got me thinking... Who funds this event? Does this event cost the local authority big bucks to stage each year? Has it secretly been regarded as a 'money-pit'? If indeed the sheer expense of staging this event without any big visible financial returns, could this be why no firm answers are being given as to a yae or nae about the Jazz-Fest this year??

Still no one know about the date of Huahin jazz festival 2012 but anyway if anyone want to see live jazz music in Hua hin please visit Hickory Jazz cafe.

Any news about Jazz in Hua Hin?
One my friend told that he was seeing information that Jazz festival would be next weekend... 30.6.? Really confusing every year with this.
