Bringing personal items into Thailand.

Hi Guys.

Soon we will be moving from the UK to Hua Hin, Had house etc. in place in Hua Hin for a couple of years now. Due to a very generous baggage allowance, I find I have room for, dinner service a few other kitchen items my desktop computer printer, and more.
What do I need do with regards customs?

My wife’s Thai has been living in the Uk with me, over a year but not continuous.
I would not normally bring these items if I had to pay freight.

I would be tempted to just go through the green "Nothing to declare" channel if the items are packed into regular suitcases.

I would go for the green line as soon as you declare they that is customs can put duty on depending on what they think is fair value..

I can't see a problem either - it's all for personal use and presumably non of it is brand new.

If your wife is repatriating, she is allowed to bring goods back into the country. However, i don't know how long she has had to be out out the country to be classed as re-patriating.

Believe that Customs act on the type of visa your wife was on in the UK..

Yes, that would make sense. However, we are still waiting on my wife's effects coming from the UK. The paperwork we had to provide only included my wife's identity page on her Thai passport. Maybe they'll want to see more when the goods arrive.
