I am the son of JeffS and to MEGS/MARG as stated previously the money which he had in the safe was mine which I had asked for him to exchange for me while the rate was good on my behalf. My dad has travelled to Thailand many times in the past 5 years and has stayed at the hotel in question majority of those times. It is not uncommon for people to carry this amount of money ($3000) as I and my friends also bring their cash along with them on our travels to Thailand. I have no doubt that someone took the money, my dad is very good with making sure money is accounted for. In relation to your comment 'dont carry money you cant afford to lose', it is money we can afford to lose but that doesnt mean we should just leave it to be raided by scoundrels.
To suggest that his partner be questioned is baffling. He has been with her a long time and looks after her enough that if she wanted anything all she would need to do is ask.
To the bloke suggesting post count means anything, why would you or any other of your 'respected' members of this community have any more knowledge of this situation than the people in question? Mr Rahul Gupta is the manager of a hotel. Do you really think he needs access codes from who knows where to look at his own camera footage? My dad and his mates are waiting on some sort of proof he has contacted the police and has any footage from the CCTV camera at the time in question. Do you really think it should have taken this long to get back to them if he really wanted to find out what happened? You are disputing who stole the money. That's not what my dad and others are trying to achieve. They're just fingering a thief so people can get the word out to be mindful of their money anywhere the thief ends up working.

Wherever Mr. Rahul Gupta goes I hope a reputation goes with him. Scumbag. Put a thai in charge! In my eyes and I'm sure a lot of others, this would sit a lot better than seeing Mr. Gupta at the head of operations.
