There are usually a few guys out and about with barrows full of ladders, but if you don't see one of those, I'd start with Big Keang in soi 88 behind Power Buy. If they don't sell them they will certainly know who does.

Be very careful with the cheaper ones , i bought a pair as i only needed them for a few jobs and they collapsed on me lucky I only sprained my ankle but could of been much worse.
had a hell of a job getting a refund at home pro but eventually got the money of a better pair.
look out the swl on them is a joke.

I bought a pair from Home Pro that are fairly good quality and strong, with the added advantage that they can convert to a single ladder. I paid I think 2000 baht for them, but I have seen similar quality at Thai Watsadu for less, so would give them a try.

My son (70Kgs) was using our almost new step ladder this afternoon when this happened:

He picked up a nice decoration on his arm as a result. Fortunately, I'm not brave enough to give steps or ladders a go.

^^The young man is obviously putting on weight...
More to the point, where did you buy it?

EDIT: I agree with the above about not buying the cheapest. I remember buying a shovel 9 years ago when I lived in Samui - it was only to shift sand, so I bought cheap. Even with sand the blade buckled after a few days.
Yes, you can buy things cheap here, but by and large you get what you pay for, just like anywhere else in the world.

Good shout Pagey - picked up an 8 footer today reduced from 5,500 to 2,699. Very pleased.

Quite funny, Mrs BB had to ride in the back of the truck to hold the ladder steady. As we pulled out of Market Village, the heavens opened up :D
