Golf Month 2012?

Post by TJGolf »

During a visit last year to HH, I remember hearing about "golf month" which was a promotion where all the courses had specials and discounts.

Does anyone know if that is happening again? Is there a local website with more info? Thanks

I agree that Royal is a great lay-out and if only it had watering etc etc.

A friend went along to enquire about membership and was give numerous forms to complete, and which took sometime to do, when he returned them to the club he waited to hear and heard nothing. So he went to see about it after a month or so and was told - '' sorry we do not take farang members''
It kills me when places do things like that. It's their rules and I guess if that rule is legal in Thailand they can limit membership, but why not make it clear before wasting someones time...

Nice to see Banyan included in the Festival. Hope they adhere to the 800baht green fees, but I guess they will sting you with the obligatory Buggy Fee :cuss:

Hey, are there any left handed golfers here in Thailand? Please PM me if you're one of them!

I see that Black Mountain are NOT participating. Perhaps because the course is not even worth 800 Baht to play at the moment. And, yes, I did play there this week.

BM have never participated - they have no need as their green fee demand is so good.

Well, at the moment the caddies say they are only working 2 or 3 times a week maximum. When I played there last week there were only a handful of other people playing. Io think this probably reflects the current state of the course.

For anyone interested, I can get VIP access at many major golfing events. This includes UK Open this week, Masters, Dubai Classic etc. There's a big event in Istanbul coming up as well that I should hear about this week that all the top names are going to be at.

I hope it's not too bad a problem , I'm in HH in September and looking forward too playing BM and also give the new par 3 course a try , I hear it's a good layout I also got told to take plenty of golf balls.I agree that Royal HH is a little gem 2 mins up the road ,no one on the course a drink every 2 holes, good caddy's great views what else do you want in life..

We played the par 3 course in April this year. It looks great from the road but is a bit of a let down when on the course. No directions to the next hole to be played so we got a bit confused a few times. Can walk the course and do not need a caddy but we'll stick to the real course at Black Mountain.

Dear Fellow Golfers,

I am planing a trip to Hua Hin from Oct 11-14 for 4 rounds of golf.

I know it's a bit difficult but out of the following, would like recommendations on the best 4 course.

1. Black Mountain - MUST
2. Banyan - MUST
3. Springfield
4. Sea Pine
5. Royal Ratchaburi
6. Imperial LAke View

Thanks a lot guys....
