Are there any companies in Hua Hin which offer SCUBA diving, and are seeking PADI qualified Divemasters?
Thanks in advance

Welcome to the board,
In short the answer is no. There is no diving in Hua Hin, the sea is muddy and there is nothing to see. There are a couple of tour shops that offer trips to Koh Talu (2 hours south) but are unlikely to employ a fulltime DM. I would suggest going to Koh Tao, the place is made for divers and its easy to pick up DM work there (although the pay isnt great). Try: http://www.siamscubadive.com email the manager, Jim, who maybe able to fix you up with something.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I would be in Koh Tao, or Phanga, except my girlfriend won't find any work there (she's an English teacher), so it's kind of a problem - where it's best for me, it's worst for her, and vice versa. Was hoping Hua Hin might be a nice medium.
I'm in town for a few days from Bkk so will look around, but won't hold my breath then. So what do foreingers do in Hua Hin other than teach English? I would rather be here than Bkk.

work in hua hin
Work opportunities are pretty thin in HH, most people here teach, run their own businesses, sell property or work in the hotel industry. Other than that the scope for work is limited. You could always get your g/f to do her dive courses!
Re: SCUBA Diving jobs
As for diving Phuket has much better diving and many more diveboats and operations. You'd likely do better there. Gulf diving not good. PHi Phi has an operation I believe as well.

Erm ... he was looking for a job 8 years ago so one hopes he has found something in the meantime!
