I've obviously been sat with my head up my backside or something. What happened to Glasgow Rangers? I know they were in administration, but I've just been reading a Green Army website, and it's talking about how lucky we were, and look what's happened to Rangers.
I've just done a bit of checking on the www, but hell, Scottish Division 3 is a bit extreme, isn't it?
I'm still a bit shocked at this delayed news. What happened to the players? Do they have a team for next season? If the same squad of players, are they taking very significant wage cuts? Will they still play at Ibrox?
I'm genuinely shocked. When did this all happen?
I know I've often had a friendly dig at Rangers supporters, but I'm finding this incomprehensible, and difficult to understand.
I think that they went into liquidation and had to be re-formed.
They applied to get back into the SPL but the clubs voted 10-0 against with Kilmarnock abstaining.
They also tried to get into Division 1 but that, too, was kyboshed so they have to start in Division 3.
Good for the fans of teams like Montrose,Annan and Elgin,if only for a season.
We're all on our uppers,we're all going skint,
I used to suck fat cigars but now I suck Polo mints.

I'm assuming that they have lost most, if not all of their team. They won't win promotion by name alone. Where will they get a team from, and what guarantees that they will perform together?
I think the reason is that Rangers went into administration, they failed to find a buyer for the club. Instead, a new company purchased all of the assets of the old company and thought they could just carry on that way.
I think the Scottish FA have got it right in this instance. It's a new club with new owners using newly purchased assets. They have no right to start in the top tier, apply to join the league and start at the bottom like any other new club would. Now if they had purchased the old Rangers company along with an agreed arrangement to pay some of it's debts then they would have stayed where they were.
My team, Southampton, have just signed one of their players, no transfer fee as he was a free agent. About seven of their players have gone and signed for other clubs, I understand that Rangers are threatening to sue any player or club that signs them. Good luck with that, the players have all been advised that their contracts where with the old company that is in the process of being wound up.
Jeez BB,where have ya been ?.Rangers got exactly what they deserved.Financial irregularities, dodgy dealings and that's just a start. To be honest,if it was any other team, they would of been shut down, but Rangers are important to the Scottish League so letting them return (albeit as a new company) in the third division was a let off in my opinion.Apparently they've only got 12 players on their books now. Most of their star players have jumped the sinking ship.
3rd Division Rangers get a 2-2 draw with Peterhead (I thought that was a prison).
Clarification on Peterhead from Wikipedia
Balmoor (also known as Balmoor Stadium) is an association football ground in the Scottish town of Peterhead, Aberdeenshire. It is home to Scottish Football League Third Division side Peterhead F.C. It has a capacity of 4000 spectators of which 1000 can be seated. Thus, the ground is some way off fulfilling Premier League criteria.
The ground was opened in 1997, after Peterhead's old ground Recreation Park was sold off to supermarket company Safeway. The standard of the facilities at Balmoor was one of the main reasons why Peterhead F.C. were elected to the Scottish Football League in 2000, along with Elgin City F.C..
The record home attendance at Balmoor is 4,505, for a third round Scottish Cup tie against Celtic in January 2012. This broke the previous record of 3,717, against Morton in the First Division play-offs of 2006.
The nearest railway station to Balmoor is Aberdeen railway station, which is 32 miles away. This is the greatest distance between a senior league football ground and its nearest railway station in Great Britain. Balmoor is located on the A982 road, just north of Peterhead town centre. The A90 road bypasses the town
Don't go on the A90 or by train, your best bet would be to sign for Rangers, shouldn't be too hard these days, and then go on the team bus (or team mini-bus as it may be now).
