JW, I hope this is not yours. You are not leaving us are you?
For those interested in this membership. This is a GREAT price. Just bought mine for the same price and these do not become available very often.

With the membership what coasts are there to pay each round? Just the caddy fee and tip? Carts mandatory?

Not mine! A friend is getting too old to play now so he wants to sell. I think its a fair price for someone in the current market.

When you play you only pay for your caddie (300 baht and tip obviously), yearly fees are 11,900 baht.

Cheers,

Is there a social club there?
Is it easy to find other members for a regular game,or can you just turn up and play by yourself.

There are several l groups who play there regular ""roll ups"" at Springfield on Sundays/Mondays/Thursdays. If you want to rock up alone you will more than likely find someone to play with. The starters will help with that and before long you will find the groups. Over the years Springfield has proved to be the best bet for players looking for a "home " course, then society golf gives you the rest of the courses with organized tournaments and good rates.

Cheers,

Is this a family lifetime, or a individual (one person) membership?

Have not received my letter about the new booking system yet. I received this via email from the Bangkok office for Springfield. Although I have bought the membership, I have not paid the annual fees yet. I will pay for December (1/12) for this year and then pay for next years dues in full. So I may not be on the mailing list as of yet. I am not sure if Bangkok has forwarded my membership to the Golf Course yet. I will make a post when I receive notification. I have received copies of the contracts and even copies of my membership cards for my wife and I. So all of the paperwork is complete. I am coming November 23 and will be there most of December. Will then come back to HH for the summer in March. About 10 degrees C cooler in Hua Hin during the summer compared to India. So winters here and summers there. At least that is the plan. Look forward to playing some golf with yourself, JW and any one else who would like to join in. Will take part with the Golf Society for play at other courses. Looking forward to it!

Yes, sunandfun, you will love it here. Nov and Dec are great - good weather and not crazy busy. Gets crazy busy from Xmas on. I have never heard anyone coming to Hua Hin in March/April, for cooler weather! The heat index here is often silly at that time of year! In India, at least the mornings are better. Look forward to getting a game.

IF you haven't received a letter informing of the online booking system, you can check out the details on the Springfield Royal Country Club facebook page. They uploaded some info on the FB page on the 19/9.
