Soi Cats

Post by frank1957 »

I am currently offshore in the UK and return to Hua Hin on 23rd August, my wife informed me that my neighbours tazered a soi cat the other night because it was keeping them awake, is this legal or do we report them.

Take a look here July and August sections about PETS: http://www.chavalitfinchlaw.com/publica ... tions.html

Probably illegal but I doubt you'll get much cooperation from the MIB, especially if the people are Thai. Pete

my neighbours that tazered the cat are czech, and if the rest of the neighbours had their way it would be the czech's getting tazered

Out of curiosity...

1. Most soi cats I would imagine are feral.
2. A tazer I imagine is typically a hand-held device.

So,...
How would you be able to get close enough to tazer the cat without having your hand clawed off, and...
Wouldn't tazering the cat create even more noise than before the start of the exercise? :tsk:

I have to say if any animals were consistently keeping me awake at night, be they street animals or owners pets, the would feel my wrath quite quickly. I would be doing anything in my power to ensure a good night's sleep was once again had.

I also need my sleep, but I wouldn't be "Tazering" the poor buggers...... As to pets, if anything happened to our pooch, the guilty party would have a visit from the Long Haired General accompanied with a rusty spoon and suffer loss of genitalia..... believe me.

Neither would I mate... just saying they (the noisy buggers in question) certainly wouldn't stick around for long once they knew me. :D

As for owners pets being noisy in the middle of the night that's the worst (I mean the ones that are consistently noisy every night). Complete inconsiderate twats (the owners) they are. Fortunately I haven't suffered from those kind of pet owners for many years now.
If my Snoopy started barking in the middle of the night at something passing the gate I would run out the front door... 'Snoops' would look at me, tail between her legs knowing that she is about to get a little smack on the bottom.

Of course if someone was trying to get in the house and she started barking a treat would be in store. :D

I believe you are confusing tasers with stun guns.

A taser is a device (hand held) that shoots off a couple of small arrows. The arrows are connected to the device by typically a 15 ft cord which carries the high voltage to the arrows. Thus you do not need physical contact with the target.

A stun gun is also a hand held device. Through fixed electrodes on the top of the "gun" it emits a high voltage current which may paralyse the target. The stun gun needs to be in direct contact with the skin of the target

Ouch! Thought those things were illegal?

Another thought... If they were meant for 'human sized' targets, wouldn't that also fry the cat? Not very nice. :violin:

Yes yes I know. She was already named before I got her so decided to keep her original name. My Snoop Dog is awesome!
