My personal view on medical treatments

Post by sargeant »

I have started this thread because after a lot of thought I feel many members may feel my attacks on the unmentionable are personal
Let me say loudly they are not I would do the same to anyone with the same background and
agenda.
I will therefore layout exactly my views on how I think and dealt with all my illnesses in the past and will do the same in the future
1.- Firstly I feel ill
2.- I try with what I have in the house to cure it myself (unless the symptoms are really bad at which point I go to doctor or hospital.)
3.- If after a day the symptoms persist I will go to my FULLY TRAINED FULLY QUALIFIED pharmacist and ask her what she would recommend (if she says see a doctor that’s what I do) if she recommends something I will try it
4.- If after a day or 2 the symptoms persist I will go to my FULLY TRAINED FULLY QUALIFIED Orthodox medical practitioner.
5.- If After his advice I am still ill I will ask to be referred to a FULLY TRAINED FULLY QUALIFIED specialist.

At this point I would point out that I believe the word alternative is wrong when it refers to Chinese herbal medicine to me it is an optional medical practice and I have no problem with people who may prefer to try that before orthodox medical services. Up to a point I feel the same about acupuncture.

HOWEVER
6.- If orthodox medicine cannot help ME and only then will I go to a FULLY TRAINED FULLY QUALIFIED Chinese herbal doctor or a FULLY TRAINED FULLY QUALIFIED acupuncturist
7.- If all of the above cannot fix it I will get ready for my demise by smoking like a chimney and drinking like a fish oh and borrow as much money as I can

What I wont do
is listen to some untrained unqualified I have googled it so now I am an expert and have set up a practice trying to make money from it
And I do not care a damn who he/she is if they are untrained and unqualified they are conmen and charlatans and downright dangerous

If anyone thinks I have it wrong please enlighten me but be precise as to where I have it wrong
unlike the silly poll where the six votes for yes serious illnesses who for some unbeknown reason seem to be the only voters not to post AT ALL I smell a lot of sardine

I have spent 4 separate occasions in hospital since 2007
Each time included in my bill
I have had my bedding changed and laundered every day
I have had 3 meals a day
I have had ICU available every day should anything go wrong
I have had medication dispensed 3 times a day
I have had nurses and doctors in attendance or available 24 hours a day
I have also had heart monitors and all the equipment necessary

Heart attack 1.- in addition to the above I also had a private room for 5 of the 10 days in Hua Hin hospital I also left the hospital with 2 months of prescription drugs

COST 15,000 baht

Arrhythmia 2.- in addition to the first list I had echo cardiograms daily for the 5 days in and I was in ICU for all 5 days I also left the hospital with 2 months of prescription drugs

COST 9,700 baht

Hernia operation 3.- in addition to the first list I had
1.- A surgeon
2.- an anaesthetist
3.- A complete operating team
4.- I also left with dressings etc
time 7 days

Cost 13,000 baht

Heart attack UK all of the above

COST everything was FREE

so homer please tell me just how an enema and a detox carried out by an untrained unqualified practitioner cost 10,000 baht the price I was quoted stack up against the hospital bills I have had and how do alternatives save me money at that sort of price

Good stuff Sarge but you do get preferential treatment in HHH as I believe you have voiced in the past you do have friends or relatives working there.

Are you blinkered into believing all practitioners in detoxing and alternative medicines are quacks ?

I have detoxed and it was extremely beneficial. It was done with the consent of my highly respected GP who confirmed to me after my treatment that detoxing and alternative medicines were sometimes a good thing

It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.

Up to a point Richard but that point ceased when i booted her out on her arse which was well before the hernia op

NO i am not blinkered Richard but you must be you obviously missed the operative words 4 times in that post
FULLY TRAINED FULLY QUALIFIED
I have detoxed and it was extremely beneficial.
Good for you Richard now tell me what is/was your vested interest because we both know what else was done by you now dont we.

Just to make it crystal clear if my FULLY TRAINED FULLY QUALIFIED doctor advised enemas and a detox i would do so but only with a FULLY TRAINED FULLY QUALIFIED specialist
Not a google it and go merchant

I can imagine that if you're determined to have a quantity of water inserted up your back passageway by an unqualified practitioner, you could find someone on Binterbaht who would take on the contract for less.

The Somtam enema should make his eyes water. Or if you are a constipated poster on a pension... who can't forget when a pint of Tetleys cost tuppence... you can obtain relief for 138 thb. Buy your own 'dangerous' detox kit from Tesco, sold to you by a qualified pharmacist. If you've any change left from your heart-healthy fag and pint, save on the joint-pain-inducing Lipitor and use Mocha.
