Did I mention we've signed Nuri Sahin?
Lets see where you are at the end of september

Comical really, the project boy wants to get rid of Dawson as he's 3rd choice. Did he see the game today?

Utd look as last season, even with RVP and even without City playing, but its evident others have improved, it would not have been a shock if Fulham had won.

Chelsea? Work in progress, Hazard on fire, Torres looking good (Pleat said in midweek he's technically inept), still looking forward to seeing Oscar and Marin.

Tomorrows games are interesting.
Talk is cheap

I did say I'd be a little worried if we didn't pick up 6 points from our next 2 home games. 2 games in and yes... I'm a little worried. I couldn't catch second half yesterday but during the first we were all over them - What happened?

Spurs have got a decent runs of fixtures coming up, I always say it's not worth looking at the table until Christmas. We could easily have 0 points after 5 games, we've got City,Arsenal and United at home and Sunderland away the next 4 games.

....and it's these them fixtures we need to be taking three points to have any chance of top four.

Just looked at the highlights for the second half on that game and it seemed our final pass/shot let us down a lot (very much like the first half). A lot of great work done along the wings and a lot of fine passing and movement.

Once they start fully clicking I'm sure we'll be fine.

Also we need to replace Modric FFS. Levy pull your finger and pride out ya arse and get the deal done mate. Pretty please with a cherry on top.

No such thing as a guaranteed 3 points anymore. Some so-called lesser teams go away and park the bus, some go for it. I notice that most fans now wait for the results before trumpet blowing. Very sensible.

Exactly. No easy teams, got to make sure your good at home is the main priority!

But the trumpet blowing is all part of football banter and has been for years... whether you really mean it or not.

Yup... hence I am a little disappointed this weekend. Nevertheless our football is looking good. We MUST replace Modric though with a passer/playmaker of his standard. I can't count the amount of times he made those cute little inch perfect through balls to assist.

VDV makes some great passes from the middle/wing to a dangerous area in the box... a couple yesterday and last week, but we need a Modric who makes himself some space while surrounded, then threads a perfectly weighted beauty to an on running player.

We are good at the moment and I have no doubt we will do well - great we are not yet with our prized asset off the field.

Baa Baa.. at this point I don't know what Levy is up to. I am CERTAIN we have someone coming in but, unlike other clubs, it's kept under wraps until the deal is finalised and not spread around the media.

If the above turns out to be false then.... I'm lost for words. Lose our star man and not get anyone in to replace??? Really moving forward there. :?

You would have had a pretty strong bargaining position to try and get Sahin, I find it odd they didn't try, unless, as you say, someone is lined up.

We had no links whatsoever to Assaidi then bang, it was on the official, I prefer it kept in house. Although he's obviously not "high profile"

Anywho the only thing that's gonna brighten up my weekend is the Arse not scoring a goal in the next 45 minutes. I really want this to be the year that we can truly refer to them as ArseNIL. :D

As Terry said...

Will ArseNil beat their own record of consecutive 0-0 games in a row.. :D

Haven't scored a goal yet, today didn't create any decent chances and no real die hard defending to compliment on but... they sit above us currently.

That's football for you!
