A choice of netbook
Re: A choice of netbook
They will, but it's likely to be the Thai version of the software so make sure you specify what you want.

Correct. I bought my netbook there and asked for English only programs to be loaded onto it. Went shopping for an hour or two, then returned to collect it. When I got my wife's one, I asked for Thai programs, which they did, but I returned the next day to have it all changed to English since she wanted an English computer. Again, no problem.

between Asus, Acer, Toshiba wich one is better for looking movie, playing game, videochatting
Re: A choice of netbook
Brand name is irrelevant, you need to check specs such as CPU (quad core minimum) , RAM (4 Gigs minimum) and graphics card. Netbooks are not really suitable for gaming, you need something more powerful such as a high-end laptop!

Re: A choice of netbook
Just a quick PS to this - the new dual netbook/laptops look interesting. A variety of brands are on the market now. They are probably expensive at the moment and could be a bit too big for regular netbook use, but I guess the wieghts will determine the market.

My phone is dualcore so a netbook should handle them comfortably.graymalkin wrote:for playing game i meaning playing only facebook games.

Re: A choice of netbook
i think i will be going for a quad core, thanks for all the help

Re: A choice of netbook
If it's for Facebook games you won't need it, it's overkill.
If you can afford it then crack on.

This topic is still very relevant if buying a laptop or netbook in Hua Hin: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=20178

Re: A choice of netbook
Went to both Power Buy and the IT mall, both places had very few netbooks (none with 4Gb of memory), but plenty of laptops. A lot of sweet looking sales girls that were so proficient at saying "mai mee".
I'll order it online.

Re: A choice of netbook
I had a True Move AIS SIM Card and it would only work in 2G mode, despite being 3G enabled. The call centre were no use, insisting that there was something wrong with my device, or I was out of coverage. (I tried it in several devices and all over Hua Hin).graymalkin wrote:Internet choice for the notebook. in huahin

I now use DTAC/Happy and am very happy with the service.
I have a USB MiFi Dongle that can also be used as a straightforward 3G dongle which I no longer need, if you're interested.
Re: A choice of netbook
AIS working here in 3G, but coverage is patched. Where are you living in HuaHin?
