Waiting on pool results as fastest lap and pit stop have not been posted yet. We currently have Pharvey at 10.3, Paragandy at 10.0 and Lindosfan at 9.5. Those rankings could change once the above two results are posted. Pete

BBC is stating Rosberg had the fastest lap with a 1:27.239. No one picked him. Still nothing on pit stop that I can find. Pete

Thanks RZR. I'll wait until Superbru recalculates to do my recap. If McClaren got the pit stop, Parahandy gets another .5 and wins the week, and a few others move up as well. Pete

Can't understand why it takes superbru so long to get the results in. :?
The fastest lap was known almost immediately after the race & i found the fastest pit stop from a F1 website last night, desperately hoping it would be Mercedes GP  :(

Perhaps because it's usually a Sunday evening in SA where their computers and staff are based, I think. It's Monday morning now and I bet it all updates within a few hours. Pete

Slight change of subject: in 1970 I organized a group tour for the British Automobile Racing Club to the Italian Grand Prix. I was given a spare ticket seated at the start finish line, although I was not a Formula 1 fan I was hooked by the noise, bravery of the drivers and enthusiasm of the Italian crowd, particularly when Ferarri won with Clay Regazzoni, Jackie Stewart came second. The only sad note was Jochen Rindt was killed in practice. Thankfully safety standards have improved.

Full results now in. Pharvey was pipped at the post by Parahandy who got the pit stop .5 of a point. Parahandy wins the week with 10.5 points. Three finished with 10 points or above, the above two plus Lindosfan. Seven of us picked Hamilton to win. The top four are now Parahandy, RZR, Pitsch and Big Boy. Both Red Bull machines went out with problems.

Next up is nighttime in Singapore on September 23. One hour ahead of our time zone so don't delay with picks prior to qualifying on the 22nd. Good luck to all. :thumb: Pete

1 ▲ 1 Parahandy (Yellow Cap) 101.50
2 ▼ 1 redzonerocker 100.25
3 - pitsch 96.00
4 - BigBoy 92.50
5 ▲ 2 Richard 92.00
6 ▲ 3 pharvey 91.75
7 ▲ 1 Vital Spark 91.25
8 ▼ 3 Pete 91.00
9 ▲ 1 lindosfan 90.75
10 ▲ 1 JJBones 90.25
11 ▼ 5 Terry 89.00
12 - JW 76.25

EDIT: Try to say this sentence 5 times in a row quickly after a few beers! "Pharvey was pipped at the post by Parahandy who got the pit stop .5 of a point."

Pete: I could say the tongue-twister twice slowly, but when I tried to speed up it all got a bit fuddled.

I've taken off Parahandy's yellow cap and stuck it in the washing machine, just in case he needs to wear it next weekend. On the other hand, I may just pop it on, or lend it to RZR.

Arcadian: That must have been a wonderful experience a few decades ago, when men were men and racing a car was an extremely dangerous profession. I've been to several Grand Prix and there's nothing like the roar of the engines to get the pulses racing.

The next race in Singapore, just like Monaco, will depend on grid position. I think I'll wait until the free practice is over before I make my picks. Then I'll probably fall asleep during the race...

No internet from about noon yesterday until sometime during the wee hours last night, so I missed making picks before qualifying. No guarantee I'll do well, and the decision making process is still not easy....will he win or second, third, or crash, or won't he...etc. Pete
