West Ham will be runners-up to Arsenal as they have such a solid group of supporters among the modes of HHAD. Chelsea may face the same route as Juventus as Mourinho can't get away with his behind the scene doings and strange comments any more.

Nobody really. It was just meant as a bit of a light hearted passtime for the few people out there can not accept Chelsea's superiority.caller wrote:Who cares?
I would quite like to see Reading up there along with West Ham. West Ham after all did win the World Cup sometime in pre-history around about 1966.
More recently they have been kind enough to give Chelsea players a place to play while they are preparing themselves for stardom.

Guess,
As requested, I've made my vote. It is unfortunate that Chelsea are currently buying the league every year (maybe they should move to Italy - I believe there's a spare place in serie A).
Manchester United have their own problems (and a cheat) - I don't think they'll be able to compete with the spending power of Chelsea. Unfortunately, I don't there's anybody else that stands any chance of challenging the Chelsea gravy boat.

Caller, I must disagree with what you say about Lampard being a waste of money after his performances in the League over the last couple of years.
The one that West Ham must have been having a laugh about was Glen Johnson, He looked good in a bad West Ham team at the time, but when he played for Chelsea he always looked out of his depth.
The best buy of the 3 that Chelsea bought at that time from the Hammers must have been Joe Cole.
Although not having the best of starts (and thank god that he listened to the Special One) slagging his performances and threatening to sell him. He has now turned into one of Chelsea and England's most consitent performers.
It will also be intersting to see how the 3 promoted teams fair this year after the performances of Wigan, West Ham & Sunderland last year. The 1st two done a lot better than any of their fans could have ever hoped for, with only Sunderland being the complete failure.
I seem to remember having a discussion with Chris at the Sugarcane Bar about this last week and he was of the opinion this year could be the 1st year since that all 3 teams stay up. I have had a look at some of the UK betting sites and they are of the opinion that Reading will finish 3rd last, Sheff Utd 2nd last and Watford a sound favourite for finishing last. Would be interested for anyone elses comments on that as well.
Big Boy, These days it seems that if you are challenging for both Domestic & European honours that you need a squad the quality of Chelsea's to be able to compete at the highest levels (especially Europe) as the rest of the European sides have teams of equal or better quality than some of the English teams competeing.
It will be interesting to see what happens to the Special One if there is no European success this year, as I think that anything less than winning it this year will be looked upon as again as an abject failure by Roman.

I agree with Chelsea. I believe that the criticism of Lampard has been too severe. I remember he had a few off periods at West Ham before joping Chelsea. The sort of game he plays does not require lightning speed.
Also he has never really performed well for England. Renaldo has had the same criticism and is now on his third comeback after looking like being at end of career a couple of times. Then in the World Cup the old magic returned. I think this will happen with Lampard. I think if the physios thought that he was overweight they would do somrthing about it. Lampards reduced for has only been for months rather than years.
Cole just gets better and better all the time. The hallmarks of a great player.
As for Johnson he may suddenly just click at some point or he could end up like Parker. Too good to sit on the bench and good enough to get a relgular place in most Premiership teams.
As fo Chelsea in Europe, now that they have some experience and a much more potent strikeforce, adding to the fact that Juventus are not playing, it means that the Italian contingent has been seriously weakened. I reckon it will be another English win this year with maybe Lyon, Barcelona and Valancia giving the English a run for their money. Real Madrid and Bayern don't seem to have the clout they had last year.
I do not know the odds yet but I reckon that after the preliminary rounds the favourite will be Barcelona and second will be Chelsea followed closely by Liverpool, Manu and Aresnal.
If I read Chelsea odds correctly and you can find a way of betting for them all to stay up you will get some pretty serious odds. Must be worth a few permutaion bets at least.
I don't reckon Fulham, Blackburn and Portsmout can hang on then ther is always Middlesborough and Man City that are going to struggle..
For the future there is a rumour that Bill Gates, an avid soccer fan, has traced his ancestry back to Devon and is considering buying Plymouth Argyle with a 500,000,000 Euro budget.

Enough of life at the top! Which clubs are going to be relegated? My guesses: Aston Villa
Sheffield Utd
Blackburn Rovers
Sheffield Utd
Blackburn Rovers
