I agree BB, it's one of those events that you look forward to,but find all a bit of a let down.

My conclusion to this event, if they were selling sausages at 400 baht each (Mrs BB is still moaning about it :D ), then it wasn't an event designed for the locals or the expat community.

I must admit, while waiting for the Elephant Parade on Wednesday, there was a large crowd of Hooray Henrys stood near us wearing their Kings Cup VIP badges - it did make me wonder when I heard them talking, what the event would be like.

Although I loved getting close to the elephants, the event was not for me. However, I am sure that it was deemed a success as they raised over 3M Baht for the elephants, which is what it was all about - well done. It's not an event I'll go back to year after year.

As a side question we can start a new thread for if warranted, does Hua Hin have any horse shows? I really enjoy them over this side of the gulf; dressage, jumping etc. From kid riders right up to the pros. About 3 good events per year, supplemented by polo about monthly. Pete

Did you get a picture of the sausage? I'm sure you are aware we can't make an opinion on this matter without seeing the sausage in question. :D

...but really? Four hundred baht for a sausage? A single sausage? That's a silly sausage that.
