Group Mountain Bike Ride

Post by BUSHWHACKER »

The Hua Cha Hash Pedalers will set off on a 35km mountain bike ride at 0900 on Tuesday 26 June from Sam Phan Nam Floating Market along soi 112 Hua Hin. Chris Rosher and Donn Wadey have done the recce and mapped out this route which is suitable only for the wide tires of a mountain bike as the surface is sandy in some places and rocky in others. Lots of Ups and Downs on this ride. Everybody is welcome along. All you need is a mountain bike with lots of air in the tires, a patch kit and drinking water. No fees or dues of any kind. Any questions just call Don 0850887181.

In addition to Don's info here, please note this is not a race. There will be 'shop-stops', and 'catch-up' points along the route. If 35kms sounds a bit to much for you then the last section can be shaved-off bringing your ride down to 30kms. :thumb: There is plenty of space at the meet/start point to park your car/pick-up if you are bringing your bike by 4-wheel means, and shops for water just after the Soi 112 turn-off before the rendevous site. We are also hoping to have food & beer at a nearby restaurant afterwards.. Cheers now..

Mountain Bike Ride

Post by BUSHWHACKER »

Join a group mountain bike of less than 40km this coming Wednesday the 26th of September. We will roll at 0830.
To get to the start & finish go to the 7km marker on Pala U road. Turn south at the temple toward Smart House Village. Go about 1.4km until you reach Smart House Village by brown water tower. Look for bicycles and cyclists. This event is free to all. Just come along for the fun of a bike ride in the outback. Please remember some drinking water and your patch kit. If you have any questions call Tinks at 0868982664 or Don at 0850887181.

It's only less than the advertised kilometers when you don't get confused by the dodgy paper trail (Usual Suspect!!!) as I did in the June ride, ending up cycling 52kms instead of 30km! :)
