The John Terry saga is an absolute shambles.....
If he is found not guilty by a court of law then how can the FA override that ?
That said,it should have been the FA that dealt with it in the first place, not the courts.

I wish the "other" case had been dealt with in a court of law.

I am not part of the tribalism which is either for or against Terry or Suarez but the FA have made themselves look inept with the difference in bans given to each player. As for referees picking on Suarez just get his manager to tell him not to fall over so easily when he could possibly stay on his feet and score, 50/50 decisions will always go against him.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has threatened that his players may start diving after failing to get the "rub of the green" from referees.

How's Rodgers encouraged it?

I honestly don't get this Suarez diver thing, he's a snarling do anything to win little shit, yes. But the lumps he gets kicked out of him and probably the best close footwork in the league he's going to go down, Gerrard and Rooney are worse.

What? Steven Gerrard, the one who plays for Liverpool? Surely not.

The very same.

Suarez is an awkward player, can't think of one like him, he's going to go down.

He nutmegs people about 3 times a game, he's going to get hacked.

You'll need to start reading the quotes, not the headlines, before you get holier than thou.

Always helps.

Full bollocks, The Guardian.

Well I believe that Suarez is a blatant diver and a bit of a cheat in other areas of the game as well, he's not the only one these days, they all try to do it. Who blatantly handled the ball in the world cup on the line to force a penalty? To even things up I also think Gareth Bale is a diver!

Well, they are different cases. On saying that, we'll all just have to wait for the full reasoning, which should arrive early next week?

Generally, I think the way both cases have been handled has been extremely poor, Terry more so as it has taken so long. Just as with Suarez, they were out to get him, to placate the PC brigade. The amount of crap that has been written about this case in particular, is shocking.

I certainly don't read the Mirror or any redtop, the BBC has been biased to an extreme, as is much of their reporting now and any sanity has been found in the Telegraph, Guardian and Independent. Maybe the Times as well, but I don't have access on-line.

The professional lobbyists are coming out in force and they are worse than the redtops and how any paper can seriously quote anything Barton says, as if he has anything meaningful to say, beggers belief.

Personally, I think Terry should swallow his pride. He was found innocent at Court and thats what counts and it now needs to be put to bed. I think the FA is in serious trouble in any case, which may force a re-think on how its business is run, simply based on to information that has come to light on Hillsborough and their very reluctant and forced apology over their actions. Okay, a long time has passed and different personnel, but they knew.

I dont really think of Gerrard or Rooney as divers.....
But one of the biggest cheats around has to be Nani......the number of times an opposition player beats him to the ball fairly and he goes down clutching his face ! :tsk:
I wish he had signed for Zenit St.Petersburg in August.....clubs had agreed a 25m fee but Zenit SP pulled out of the deal when Nani demanded wages of 250k per week !

Paul Merson has just said on Soccer Saturday that Arry is a better tactician than Wenger. He's employed as an expert.

Nice to see the Whinge getting all out of his head on the touch line again.
Ars vs Chelsk was a good derby, but it would have been better if they both could have lost - ho ho

Anyway - good to see that David Louise got a yellow for diving.

To me, this despicable practice is far too rife in the modern game - all BPL teams seeming to have their own practitioners - including my own Spurs - Defoe and Bale springing to mind.

I would like to see the FA toughen up the penalty even further.

OK - give out a card to the offender, but I believe the culprit and / or his club should face an accompanying fine also. Revenue from this could go to a charitable cause.

The game wins
The practice hopefully gets further eliminated
And some needy charity could benefit

What do you thin fellow pundits?
