Passenger boat sinks off Pattaya

Post by buksida »

A passenger boat sank off Bali Hai pier in southern Pattaya on Friday morning, reports said.

The two-engine speed boat, travelling between Koh Larn and Pattaya, sank about 100 metres from the shore shortly after departing around 10am.

Rescuers were able to save all 27 people aboard the boat. Most of them were foreign tourists.

Two of the passengers were slightly injured and were sent to Pattaya Memorial hospital.

Authorities were investigating the cause of the sinking.

A twin engined speedboat with 27 aboard? Perhaps Barry could comment on this!
