To be fair, I believe that Owen admitted to going down after contact, whereas he could have remained on his feet had he chosen to do so - somewhat removed from the more blatant diving often with no contact at all, as practiced by Suarez, Bale and others you might choose to name.

Liverpool striker,Fabio Borini, faces a lengthy lay off after breaking a bone in his foot whilst on duty with the Italy U21's side.
The 21 year old had been training with the U21 side whilst preparing to play Sweden at the weekend.
This leaves Luis Suarez as Liverpools only recognised striker at the club.

Bet Andy Carroll is grinning from ear to ear this morning...... 8)

I don't think an Arsenal fan can get on any high horse when it comes to diving.

This is about the only decent article I've read about it.

And yeah, shame about Borini, our squad is so thin it's unreal. I'm enjoying seeing Suso and Sterling though.

With him being public enemy number one I'm sure somebody out their must've put together a Youtube compilation of ALL these blatant dives.

Care to share it? Two examples will do.

Here's the opposite side of the coin.

Yeah but, Arsenal are not being discussed in relation to diving right now, Liverpool are

Big bad nasty Suarez has done a 2 inch belly flop. Oh Noes!

Suarez is currently away on international duty and has shrugged off the storm which continues to rage in England.

"Everyone should focus on their own team,"

"Those who want to talk can do so, I am not worried about what they say.

"They can keep talking and in the meantime I will keep on playing football and taking care of my team and what I do. Nothing else matters."

"The support of the coach is very important to me and that's what I really care about."

I don`t think a storm is raging, just various people pointing out the stupidity of one player. By "focusing on their own team" does he mean we cannot have an opinion on his behaviour?
By all means keep on playing football, you are good at it, you don`t need the histrionics.

You in England Arcadian?

Focus on your own team is referring to Pulis and his Alehouse thugs.

I agree on the last part, it just pisses me off how he's suddenly the poster boy, as though it's something new.

There IS an agenda against him.

Luckily he's the kind of guy who doesn't give a shit. This agenda would break some players.

Hey BaaBaa, have you been following the 'Being Liverpool' ongoing documentary? Any views? A mistake? Lawro has said Shankly would be turning in his grave.

I watched 4 episodes when I got back from Thailand , really enjoyed it. Rodgers comes across a touch David Brentish but no problem , it's good to see the inside workings of the club.

Lawro can go screw himself, he cut his ties a long time ago.
