When men were men
Re: When men were men
If you were lucky enough to grow up in North America in the 50s and 60s you know hot rods were IT when you were a teenager. Hot rods were sexier than anything, lots of power and noise, great paint jobs and no two were alike because they were all (at that time) built y guys in their own garages.

One of the greatest SoCal hot rods, the Bob McGee '32 Ford Hi-boy.
It was powered by a 350 cu ins. Chevy V-8 putting out close to 500 hp.
This car, as seen, ran 168mph on the Bonnevile Salt Flats in 1971.
The car has been in about 20 movies and TV shows and was on the cover of Hot Rod magazine in 1962 as in the photo above. It's now in a hot rod museum.

Re: When men were men
These are fantastic but with health and safety laws would they be allowed to do it today? There must have been quite a few deaths during those days.
