Registered Mail From UK To Hua Hin

Post by JimmyGreaves »

Need my daughter to send a banking fob from UK. Looked on DHL website and they only seem to deliver to Bangkok. Need this registered so I can possibly track it :)

Can someone direct me to the best courier for this.

Plan on writing the address in Thai and English plus phone number on package.

Cheers

EMS is fairly good.. particularly as you do have tracking..

We frequently use FedEx for documents to and from Europe. They will pickup and deliver to Hun Hin.

DHL or TNT will deliver anywhere in Thailand. After all don't DHL deliver UK Passports? They delivered mine last month.

DHL may deliver anywhere in Thailand.. However, we have made many requests to DHL over the past year and they said no to pick up in Hua Hin.

We have used TNT in the past with good results but TNT is now owned by FedEx.

Yes, from UK please. DHL website only lists Bangkok as a delivery address. When she called them they said BKK only which seems odddd.

I once outwitted the buffoons by sealing a bank card inside a cheap brochure when I was sending a load of books.

I glued it between 2 pages.

Just to avoid any confusion, EMS is known as "Royal Mail Signed For" in the UK.

DHL normally subcontract the delivery to Hua Hin, it just means you can't track your package after it has arrived in Bangkok.

I received a debit card form the UK earlier this year which had been couriered usuing DHL, we were out when it arrived and the Thai company who brought it down from Bangkok called me up and waited outside my house until I was back home.

There used to be a courier company in Hua Hin near to the Tessabahn who were a subcontractor of DHL, but they closed down a couple of years ago. Since then I haven't been able to courier anything throught DHL in Hua Hin.
