Well I don't know what the hell the half time team talk was... credit to Southampton nevertheless - the much better team in the 2nd. Spurs back to their rightful place in the top four
2-1 I hear Chelsea - United. A good second half to look forward then.
Cheez, I've been trying to post this for a long time now and not been able with you guys posting at such a high speed. Anyway, two great matches tonight (no, sorry the Spurs one is not what I'm talking about).
Good comment from David Moyes (copied from BBC)
On Luis Suarez celebration: "I thought it was great, I would probably have done the same, but he is going to have to dive in front of a lot of managers now. He was a very lucky man to stay on the park because of his tackle. Phil Neville went down too easily so I have had a word with him about it.
Rooting for the 9 men to perform a miracle. Second (and first for that matter) red was laughable. The first he was trying to get out the way, barely any contact but the striker new what he was doing - rather get a guy sent of than go for goal.Ref's gotta send him off but... stay on ya feet lad, get yourself a goal ffs, you're clean through! Don't like Young one bit tbh. Making a name for all the wrong reasons the youngster is.
The second well...

The ref today is going to look back and realise today was the day his career stopped. Clattenberg is quite tainted in any case.
No complaints against the Ivanovic one, although with the position of Luiz, I've seen them given as yellow. But Torres was fouled. It looked like a foul with Evans going through his legs and TV proved it.
Oh, and Utd have just scored a 3rd, 2-3 now and guess what, TV proves it was offside.
Fergies law still applies then.
And by and large, with 11 v 11, we were the better team. Just let down by shocking defending. Its only when he's not there, that you realise how good Terry is.
Oh well.
The way things are going, the ref will be doing his best to avoid this being abandoned. The Chelsea players are not best pleased. He could have had Rooney off as well. He's actually bottled it 2/3 times since.
All we need now is Alex Ferguson pointing at his watch whether it is that he thinks, the ref should blow the whistle now or that there's been too little extra time given.
In fairness, with those 2 goals, they had the better of us tactically. Di Matteo needs to take that on board as it was the same the other night. But after that? We could have coped with 10 and the SO was a joke, as was their winner. You can't legislate for that.
Ivanovic's was a red card....even the Chelsea players didnt argue about it.
Torres....well,he went down very easily (obviously being watching the Suarez videos) and got more than he bargained for !
At 2-2 I thought it was curtains for United but if you look back on the game both the early goals and the sendings off were inflicted by Chelsea on themselves.
Looking on the Suarez tackle on Distin....it was a bad one....cant call it just clumsy.....if he would have done that against United,he would have been sent off for sure,eh !
We're all on our uppers,we're all going skint,
I used to suck fat cigars but now I suck Polo mints.
