ls there any place besides makrow. there trees looked weak and tesco just doesn't get it

We picked up a half decent artificial tree in Tesco, Pranburi yesterday - their Christmas display is 1000 times better than Tesco, Hua Hin. We tried the Shopping Mall, but nothing there yet. I've heard that Big C usually has a good display.

We got ours ( 6ft ) In Macro Pranburi last year. Pretty good tree, and they have a decorations too.We boxed it up last year and put it up again last night ( A bit early but I wont be here for xmas so doing it now ).... Anyway, no problems with it again, and looks pretty effective. I'm pretty sure Macro Hua Hin would have the same tree's ?

My apologies for being slightly off topic

We bought some indoor and outdoor Christmas lights at Makro (Hua Hin) about 3 weeks ago. My wife, a week or so later received a call from them asking us to take them back as they were faulty. This seemed a little strange as we had purchased 3 or 4 different sets. However as asked, we took them back during our next shopping excursion. Customer service told us that there was a problem over the import of the lights as the import duty had not been paid but they were not faulty!

They thanked us for bringing them back and asked to see our receipt which, of course, had been thrown away shortly after we purchased the lights. Sorry was their reply we can not issue you with a credit or exchange the goods without the receipt. I asked them to look up our account on their computer, after all they had called us an knew exactly what we had purchased….Sorry we can not

Needless to say I took them straight back to my car but strangely without security even trying to stop me.
I did not want to take them back in the first place so drove away quite happy but just a little bemused (TIT)

Incidentally they still had their displays of Christmas decorations but all of the Christmas lights had been taken off sale.

The only artificial tree I've bought in the LOS was from Big C years ago - they had a good selection then and decent quality.
But you can now order real trees from Villa - at a price of course.

Really? I didn't know that. I wonder where they get them from. In Hawaii they used to come in from the Pacific Northwest in refrigerated shipping containers. Without a doubt your Christmas tree was usually more expensive than all of the gifts beneath it combined.

If Villa is shipping them in the same way from the States, the price must be enormous. Pete

I bought a 6ft tree from a plant nursery (opposite Banyan resort) last Xmas, wasn't exactly a Christmas tree but looked very similar. Once I got home, kept it in on the patio, still in the pot, put a few lights and a bit of tinsel on it, it looked great.
After Xmas was done I took it out of the pot and planted it in the garden, it's grown at least a foot since then.

We have 2 in our garden and they grow at quite a rate so buy a smallish one and they should last a few years - keep them in the pots and they will grow at a slower rate.

I saw them in Villa Bangkok last year Pete. Can't remember the prices but I think I posted something at the time. They are probably aimed at the hotel/Embassy trade and were ready for collection around 15th December if I remember correctly - so they would probably need to be ordered well before that.
