As far as I can tell, there's no way to set up the cable converter box to skip the display of channels that I don't receive.
You can get around this by going through all the channels and pressing the red button to add the channel as a favourite if you find the channel is included in your package. You can then press the star button on the remote to cycle through the favourite channels (unfortunately this only goes in one direction, no way to scroll backwards through the list)
Thanks! Next time I turn on the TV -- hasn't been on for a couple weeks or so -- I'll add some favorites, such as the ones in English.

Just signed up for this, got to say that it is super fast for downloads and uploads. The fastest speed I ever got with 3BB was about 540kB/s when I first signed up but never over 300kB/s for the last six months or so.

True Online fibre optic downloads at 2MB/s and is half the price I was paying.

I have one problem, maybe someone could direct me to solve it. I can't send any emails, I receive them OK, but they don't send. In the 3BB package I had, it used smtptttmaxnet.com as the server to send emails, anyone know what the server name for True online is?

I've sent you a PM with details for your hosting account, if you still want to use the ISP try these:

mail.truemail.co.th
mxauth.truemail.co.th

If you are using Outlook have you tried the "fix" function in the "Accounts" tab?

Hey guys, I'm not up to speed on this stuff, so some advice please.

I'm currently using 3BB and get a good and reliable internet connection and am due to renew in March. Any options worth considering?

I'm in Condo Chain and have line and wireless router connected care off 3BB and on the 600+ a month tariff.

I surf and download movies so no real heavy stuff required

All advice welcome but in layman's terms please :D

I agree, I live in Bo Fai and only 3BB would consider connecting us as we are a long way off of the main route.

I took the next package up from you (I believe without looking 13Mps).The installation, support and service so far has been flawless and the download speed has been excellent, even on weekends. The speed and service are much better than TOT for my apartment in BKK

I'm with 3BB and they do a 9 or 10 mbs package now at just over 600 baht so if you get that you should be ok for downloads - also if you pay for a year I think you get either a month free or 10% discount.

Im living in khao kalok and just signed up with 3bb i'm on the 13mb package 990 a month, but i get an 8% discount because i paid 12months in advance. They charged me an additional 600bht for wireless router and 1150bht for a technician to run the cable about 550metres from closest connection.
I went for the more expensive plan because i was told by a friend that if i do a lot of live streaming(which i do) i will have too much packet loss with the cheaper plan.
So far i have live streamed rugby league last night thru setanta asia online, which was good quality, watching the replay now,and have also used it with my vpn to watch shows in uk and usa,not 100% perfect, but good enough

Having checked, this is the same package that I use, with the same terms of payment and for the same reasons. I often use uk-tv.asia and streaming is generally not an issue. Download speeds and torrents are also good (if there are enough seeders of course)

I've still not yet signed up for any supplier as I was waiting for True to install their cable outside my condo which they have now done. However, in the MV office the girls say they cannot supply a condo, only a house :cuss: I'm thinking this is because they are sales girls and not engineers.

3BB can but they want the condo maintenance man to take the cable from their post outside to my room which he has done with several other subscribers in the condo. So he should be able to do the same with True but I don't know how to communicate that to True :guns:

The condo want 2500 Baht for this cable or 5,000 baht for a thicker better quality cable. I know in hi-fi , speaker cable etc the quality of cable does make a difference to the quality of sound.

Will the more expensive cable give me a better/faster connection ??
