I just read Bale`s comments about when there is contact I fall over. Perhaps somebody should tell him football is a contact sport. That fine upstanding young man, Theo Walcott, went down in the box against Newcastle, instead of claiming a penalty he got up and scored. What a lesson other clubs could learn from Arsenal`s ethical way of playing.

Heard rumours (hopefully will turn out to be true) that Theo Walcott has signed a new contract today. This will be made official tomorrow.

Well thats blotted Benitez's copybook. WTF was he doing changing the team where it matttered?

Nigel Spackman, BBC Radio 5 live at Stamford Bridge
"It is a fantastic strike from Shaun Wright Phillips but the touch from Adel Taarabt was superb. QPR have been dangerous on the counter-attack. Half of the Chelsea players will have been thinking they could get five or six here and Rafa Benitez will be wondering if he should not have rotated his team."

F'ing twat. I could not believe he made the changes he did, we really, really needed a result tonight to keep us in contention and he should have picked his best available team to ensure that. So that's that, a small outside chance gone. Sick of managers that do this. Our best ones didn't.

We were sh*te yesterday & hardly deserved even a point.
Quite a lacklustre display, left me feeling quite depressed at the final whistle. :(

I expect Caller will probably be feeling a little bit depressed after tonights result too

Chelsk 0-1 QPR . . . . . Harry Houdini??

After glimpsing his overlapping post, the depression hasn't settled in yet,the anger is still at the fore!!

I didn't see the game, but looking at the match stats and the write-up, wasn't this just one of those games?
Spurs have had several this year. Maybe we should swap managers...?
Still, probably easier for Chelsea fans to deal with a result like this, which they can blame on the hated Benitez, than an 8-0 win, when they thought they might have to admit they were overreacting.

Either way, a fine end to a pretty damn good New Year!

BG, I still owe you a bottle of claret. :banghead:
When will you be out here again? You might have to settle for a few glasses of Jimberoo...

Yup, I hate QPR with a vengance. But I am angry because it wouldn't have happened if we'd played with the team that started on Sunday. Why do managers make these changes? We're away to the Saints on Saturday and next Wednesday have Swansea at home in the league cup.

So what's the issue? No disrespect to those teams, but what was he saving tonights players for? Barca in the euro cup S/F, fine, but its not.

Grrrrrrr!

Quite a solid rumour by all accounts!!

More good news is that Gervinho is off to the African cup of nations.
With a bit of luck Ivory Coast will make it to the final, therefore maximising his stay in S Africa

Don't worry, mate. I'll be there one day to claim what's mine. Might even invite Terry to share that bottle. Can't fix the date, yet. Missus has just started a regular job as a cook in a Thai restauran in Helsinki. So before she gets a full summer holiday, it could be the summer of -14.

Unless, if I have to go to China for my studies but I'll try to have a stop over there just for that good wine. Whatever, keep the claret in a cool place till then.

Yesterday Harry Redknapp was saying that only "a real dope"would fail as manager of West London rivals Chelsea. (BBC Sport).
I bet he is having a good laugh at breakfast this morning. :D
The good news is that is probably the end of Chelseas title ambitions but the bad news is I had them as my Banker on IKTS.....7-0,no less ! :(
At least the avatar is back unharmed....thanks d-m.

Holtby and Fryers. A creative midfielder and a left back. Two good young players (22 and 20). Good business by Spurs, but what we really need is another striker, especially if Adebayor goes to Africa for a few weeks.

Fergies at it again. Why is he such a low life pillock at times? It's so easy to loathe him.

So let me get this right, Spurs baulk at Utds valuation of Fryers and pull out. It appears if it had gone to arbitration, as a fee could not be agreed, they may have had to pay £5/6m? Utd then offload the guy for £250k to Standard Liege and Spurs grab him after all for £900k?

So bad business by United - seriously bad business - and that's Spurs fault?

The agent wasn't Fergies son, was it? Also highlights the inflated transfer rate in the UK and why so many imports are brought in
