I read that Modric and Song were voted the worst players introduced into the Spanish League, and this after the stick Spurs and Arsenal took allowing them to go.

A lot of these guys suffer from being over-hyped. Berbatov was another player that stood out at Spurs and, while not exactly fading into obscurity, spent much of his time on the bench or playing for the second string.
I read somewhere recently that Swansea's Michu was being valued at 30 million quid! He's had a good few months, but really...!

Modric is a great little player who slotted really well into the Spurs format, but he's not strong or especially quick, and not a goal scorer or a defensive midfielder.
I reckon we'd take him back for 15 million...
