Apparently we are in talks with Sneijder. 8)
Schneider certainly was a world class midfielder 2 or 3 seasons ago but,if reports are to be believed,he has since suffered a succession of niggling injuries that have reduced his effectiveness.
If he was still top drawer then how come one of,say,Real Madrid,Bayern Munich,Paris St.Germain or even Manchester United didnt show any interest at this knock down price ?
Youve only just got rid of Joe Cole, another midfielder who came with a big reputation, and youve still got Stewart Downing to turn on the magic behind your strikers ! 8)

Source?

Certainly not CFC, but very welcome news though - now to do the same with Lamps!

I haven't really seen much of him since the Champions League win under Mourinho (plus the Euros) but alot of Liverpool fans were saying the same as you.

A big name is always a nice boost for the fans and players but he went for the extra 1 million a year in Turkey.

Apparently we offered him parity with Gerrard and Suarez but they only pay 15% tax in Turkey.

We're now in for the Brazilian kid, Coutinho, also at Inter.

Seen plenty of them given.

United have had their fair share given and not given against, you take what luck you can.

Fair result overall probably.

We've got Arsenal away and City away in our next 2 league games. Oh, the joy. :|

Sam Allardyce charged by the FA over comments made about the referee v ManU:

Sir Alex Ferguson, for the 2nd time in 12 months, is asked by the FA, to explain his comments about a match official v Spurs:

When will they get some balls?

When he retires?

I've said it for years mate, English football is all a little to cushy for my liking.

Maybe David Gill (Chief executive of Manchester United and vice chairman of the FA) will pop into Fergies office and hand deliver it to him personally, just when he's nipping in for a brew with him at Old Trafford in office hours.

I was watching Arsenal v WHU, good first half, looking forward to the next 45 minutes, but bloody satellite connection cut off and didn`t come back until 20 minutes after the final whistle. Missed all the best action. Still, always the cup to look forward to against Brighton.

Went to the annual education fair in Helsinki today and at the same time as I was entering the building, Finland's Minister of Education, Jukka Gustafsson entered as well. I opened the door for him and he saw me wearing my Arsenal scarf and congratulated on our win against the Hammers. First I thought, he might be symphatetic to Arsenal but actually he was more worried about Jääskeläinen letting in five goals. :D

Sorry BG but my computer doesn`t have the punctuation to spell Jaskerlainen properly, but he is Allardyce`s main source of assists to WH, long ball, route one and all that. Allardyce and Pullis are two of a kind when it comes to style of play. "we can`t play football but we can stop the bu**ers who can".

Yes, but perhaps not the brightest spark they've ever signed:
