I intend obtaining this by post and wondered if anyone had done this recently either by post or by attending the British Embassy. I've tried emailing but as yet no reply
Two things
1) how many pages of your passport do they want?
2) are the fees as posted on their website or have they increased?
Cheers

Sarge, before you go, could you drop me a PM with directions to that bakery shop in Pranburi?
Sorry, back to topic.

I did it last week and from posting to returning to HH was 6 days.
I sent ;-
A postal order for Bht2,350 which includes the return EMS post from Bangkok ( the postal order payable to British Embassy, and to be cashed at Nana Post Office Bangkok 10112 )
Evidence (original ) of my private pension for 2012 amount. Ask them to return this.
A copy of my State pension letter.
A copy of my bank statement for last 6 months evidencing some pension payment receipts.
I gave an explanation of how my pensions were paid and the total calculated, just to make it simple for them, you may not need to do this.
A copy of the photo page of my passport
That's it

DM i am
shocked that a member should be asking me for advice i think the OP who knows infinitely more about where i live than i do should be able to give you directions to the milimetre
However as a good guy i will give you my uneducated peasant directions to the place you ask although you will have to accept my disclaimer that should you get lost in the jungle its not my fault and no legal action can be accepted after all the GURU of all things THAI (except how to get a letter for his visa
) is obviously the man to answer your query
Petchakasem road to PRANBURI MARKET pass the Army Camp traffic lights then 200/300yards before the centre of PRANBURI MARKET on the left
If you are at a loose end travel to PRANBURI CITY railway station and ask at the noodle stall for the Farangs residences WE that is the TWO farangs living here are about 200/250 yards away have a chat a beer or yorkshire gold medal TEA
