Hotmail is about as secure as a paper bag, plenty of stuff on the net about hacked accounts.

Close the account and don't use it!

Anyone out there that can help me with webpage design/advertising? My parents have a holiday cottage at home and they are dealing with a web developer but I don't understand his technical emails....
Any help would be reward with your favorite Thai beer......

Host of problems!

I guess it's advisable to solve them one by one.

I have MALWAREBYTES installed on my pc.

When I run the scan, one object is detected.

I follow the procedure and have it removed. :)

HOWEVER - when I reboot and scan again, it's there again! :cuss: :banghead:

How can I get rid of it for good? :?

Item: HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr...

I am puzzled, not actually being computer savvy.

Thanks!

Thanks for that Buksi, I'd forgotten about Spybot. Running AVG and Malwarebytes normally and I must have forgotten it when buying a new laptop some years ago.

Hello chaps,

thanks for the advice BUKSIDA. :)

Spybot has found at least 101 threats/items!

BUT it cannot erase/get rid of 3 high risk and 2 lesser threats!

I have contacted Spybot for help.

Hope they'll be able to fix it.

Kind regards,

Actually I ran one or two additional safety programmes and discovered additional threats!

But NEW PROBLEM! :banghead:

The top Favorites Bar has disappeared and so has the 'File Edit Tools Help' bar! :?

Does anyone know how I can restore them, in particular the latter? :? :?

Thanks!

Kind regards,

Hello folks, :)

perhaps I did not express myself clearly:

When I open my web homepage - Google.co.uk - or any other site,

the essential bar, second from top, "File Edit Tools Help" is no longer there. :banghead:

How can I recover it? :?

Thanks!

Simply move your mouse to the area beside your tabs and right click. Then check the menu bar option.
