Pumps are normally rated by their outlet size. (amongst other specs). 4" is one big pump!
Thai Wat SaDu(sp) on the way to Cha Am has a big range of pumps.

Thanks for that.
On re reading my post I did not make it clear that the pump is for a deep drilled well. At 39 meters with a caseing diameter of 5 inches with a 4 inch diameter pump string. The motor at the bottom and pump above.

Shop in Tha yang - Left at the lights on the left after the Bangkok Bank. Sell Franklin pumps 4" 12000 Baht complete with motor and starter box and cable ( no saving buying separate).

^ From experience Franklin is a very good pump. We've had one in our bore since 2007 pumping everyday and no problems. We had it and the piping pulled out last year to clean and check things and it looked like new. Pete

Thanks for your replies the Tha Yang solution looks promising. Tavorn the blue hardware store on the pa a lu road wants 21500 Baht for a 2 hp Frankine pump and motor with control box but no cable.
