Not another Italian Restaurant... Aglioolio

Post by bapak »

Aglioolio Restaurant is located on Naebkehardt Road, right opposite You Yen Restaurant.
Nice spacious decor, menu (which I dare not repeat here) has a great variety of pasta dishes and pizzas, all at a moderate price. Aglioolio is owned by the Del Casaro Cheese Factory family so no need to ask where the cheese comes from.

My wife had chicken breast with lemon and I had the beef lasagne, both of which were cooked to perfection. We will be back.

Anyone tried that new Italian restaurant in Bon Gai? I can't remember the name, I'll post it later.
It's just along from school in the soi 94 direction, near the intersection with the pharmacy on the corner. It's the intersection you come across if you were going up soi 94, then you do a quick right and then left to carry on up soi 94 towards Oy Restaurant.

Dont think so JW, that is before Bar Tender/ junction if coming from Petcha. The way Alleykat describes it is further up near Loong Tu ? and the new apartment complex at the next junction where the pharmacy is.

Edit : Going out now and will be down Soi 94 later so I will look.

Just been both up and down Soi 94 and the only Italian restaurants we could find were Luciano's and Olivio and neither are in the place described.

It's not on soi 94. It's on the road I call Bon Gai road, that connects one of the soi 88's to soi 94. Just along from the school on the opposite side.
If you were coming from town, you would go across the railway tracks at soi 88, then go straight ahead between the two 7/11's, keep going up, follow the left turning bend, G supermarket on the right, then the school, then it's a bit further along on the left, just before soi 94.

You missed Cafe Dacha which is Russian/Italian. Also Pizza 94 which has Italian Pizza and some other Italian food I believe.

Olivo is opposite Amara Inn. Luciano's is next to Bar Tender (where Bar Tender was before).

I have tried both Olivio and Aglioolio. I mentioned Aglioolio in the Pizza thread; best one I've had in Hua-Hin maybe best I've had in Thailand. I tried Olivio when it opened a few months ago and it was good... hed a better selection of salads than Aglioolio, but the Pizza (which was decent) wasn't even in the same league, in my humblest of opinions!

Its easy to miss, just a small shophouse below one of the new apartment blocks I mentioned. Directly opposite Loong Tu which is on the corner of the crossroads leading to Oy restaurant.

It's called Da Genesio.
Yes it's in a row of shophouses below the new apartments opposite Loong Tu.

There are several well-known places around the extension of 88 and corner of 94th.
Aree has built on the success of her earlier restaurant and moved and enlarged her restaurant.
The area is coming up in the murderously competitive world of Pleasing the Palate Industry.

hey mods, how about moving the posts from #2 until the end to another thread? Putting Da Geneiso and soi 94 or 88 in the title will make it easier for locals to find this new place.
