Looking for an HD camcorder
Re: Looking for an HD camcorder
Hi Dan,
We've got one of these kicking around somewhere that was probably used for about 2 hours at most. Think it cost about 15k so half price would seem a fair price to me. Got a feeling it's missing the lens cap unless I can find it in the drawers. Would be interested in your camera if you wanted this.
Just in case you're in two minds I can probably sway you by telling you it's in shocking pink

Re: Looking for an HD camcorder
Hi, thanks for the info, Id prefer a camcorder with interchangeable lenses, more like a photo camera plus HD video capability...
Re: Looking for an HD camcorder
I have one exactly like in the article and would be interested in selling it.

This is worth a whole new thread in its own right but camcorders with interchangeable lenses are by no means cheap. You're best bet is a micro four thirds stills camera, like any of the Panasonic GH or GF series that record in at least 720p if not 1080i or even 1080p for the newer ones. They record in AVCHD, which is not the best codec around and the lenses are between £200-1,800 although Voigtlander do some excellent manual ones for around £600. Unless you go for some Chinese NoNamo brand, I don't think you're going to find what you want on the cheap. Depending on what you want to do, audio capture will also require a separate solution.Dan.constant wrote:Hi, thanks for the info, Id prefer a camcorder with interchangeable lenses, more like a photo camera plus HD video capability...
If what you're looking for is film-like quality with shallow DOF and grading capabilities, etc, you can achieve a lot of this with good and relatively cheap post production effects in NLE systems.
PM me with what it is you want to do and I'll happily answer your questions where I can, I know a reasonable amount about it as it's a part of my work but I'm not a fill time film-maker so there will likely be more accurate opinions on the forum or the wider web.
