On a (semi-)serious note, I sincerely hope you'll all be making up a team for JW's April quiz!
No, I think the only regular thing about the quiz these days is that it's on a Thursday, so watch out for the date and get ready to bruise some egos!bonnielass wrote:dtaai-maai - I would love to take part in JWs quiz, can you imagine an all female team winning? There'd be a few bruised male egos around that night! Alas, the quiz is normally held first week of the month and we don't arrive until after Songkran. Maybe Johhnie might postpone it due to the holiday.....
Sounds like you have the sense of humor for it!!bonnielass wrote:Really excited about coming to Hua Hin with my four girlfriends for a holiday in April, some of them first timers to LOS.

I know, but we keep going back so it's not that bad; I'm working in Europe at the moment trying my best to earn enough to get back to my home in Hua Hin for a few weeks soon and it's not in the hope of catching Dengue! So far we can look forward to: Dengue Fever, Power Blackouts, ATM and Money Exchange Scammers and a crashing Pound.
Despite the risks... and all countries have them... I wouldn't want to be anywhere else and I've been here 7 years.bonnielass wrote:Really excited about coming to Hua Hin with my four girlfriends for a holiday in April, some of them first timers to LOS.
Don't forget water shortages and spotty internet connections!bonnielass wrote:Really excited about coming to Hua Hin with my four girlfriends for a holiday in April, some of them first timers to LOS.

and dirty/unhygienic food(yummy!)
We appear to have forgotten the dreadful weekend traffic, the heat and humidity that accompany Songkran, the tea tax for the MIB, the tailors that treat you as a long lost friend, even that you passed them in the opposite direction, not 5 minutes since.bonnielass wrote:Really excited about coming to Hua Hin with my four girlfriends for a holiday in April, some of them first timers to LOS.

I really don't understand what that article has to do with Thailand.
Sometimes I wonder which is weirder, the Thai's or the foreigners living in Thailand. Thailand is an extremely bizarre place/country.
