Khun Don at Soi 56 has been recommended and many including myself have been impressed with his knowledge and the reasonable cost. telehone number is 032 534616, but I do not know if they open on Sundays. The location on Soi 56 is go over the railway line from Phetkasem Rd and on the right about 150 yds before the traffic lights, there is a big sign Computer Repairs. He usually arrives at 10.00'ish but the shop is open around 8.30 and the lady speaks English.

Echo the above - sounds like a hardware issue, have you tried plugging in another USB keyboard?

Having problems with unfamiliar pre-installed "libre 3.3".

Most of the time refuses 'pastes' from internet pages.

Do you think I should change to familiar Microsoft Word (not for free though!)?

Don't forget Open Office. It works very well for me, and is free. Pete

Didn't need to go. Problem disappeared after removing torn.tv and running with more cooling under the laptop. All after a 'spybot' and 'malwarebyte' scan of course

Volumn problem

Post by lomuamart »

Someone's done my weak speakers in.
I know there's a way to increase the sound from control panel or like that.
How do I do it?

Isn't there a speaker icon in the bottom bar of your screen on the right next to the time?
This is the way

If you have the speaker icon in the bottom right hand corner, just right click it - simple from there.

If you don't have the icon, go Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, Sound and then choose one of the options.

Hi Pete, :)

I have annoying problems copying pages from the internet. :cuss:

When I "copy" for example Wikipedia articles, the pictures are not copied. I get empty boxes instead. :cuss:

Also when I try to copy other text/picture pages, my libre3.3 does not copy at all. :cuss:

Do you think this is the fault of this libre office? :guns:

Thanks!

Kind regards,

MB

Major,
Not familiar with Libre but would you not be better saving the webpage than copying? Or printing as *.pdf using something like 'Cutepdf'?
Alternatively print-screen?

Sorry, can't help with that one MB as I know nothing about Libre Office. Perhaps someone else on here using it will speak up. Pete

GN,

thanks for your info.

After pasting did not work out I tried to save the page.

That did not always work perfectly either.

In the good old days I highlighted the parts that I wanted to copy, and it worked.

When I copy articles with pictures I want to be able to edit the text.

With Word that was no problem!

Strangely I have no problems copying pictures only.

So I have to wait to instal Word, and hope things will finally work again.

Kind regards,

MB
