Hi! New member from UK

Post by Diavel »

Hi there, looking at spending more time in Thailand now I am semi retired. Married for 22 years and kids now either at uni or boarding school. My wife is doing a course in Hua Hin in September for a month so here at the moment checking things out.

Nice!
Check out the biker's section when you get time.

Forget about shipping it over, I doubt you will get a temp. import/export agreement and anything else is an absolute nightmare regarding Thai logistics. I hope others may comment with less cynical and more positive but I doubt it. :banghead:
Ducati is available in Thailand but will probably be more expensive than the U.K. taking exchange rates into consideration. Unfortunately the second-hand market is Thailand for bikes is pretty poor and ropey at best.

I've visited the Ducati showroom in Pattaya and I was impressed with the selection however they are not for me..... I prefer something a little more practical....
Currently riding a Ninja 650 (Er-6f) - Asian model and love it to bits. Considering upgrading 2014/15 to a Triumph Triple R but that dream is still smoking at the end of my pipe.
Few other bikers on the forum so hope you can join us for a run around Hua Hin in the near future. Lot's of beautiful routes that very few tourists get to see.
