Where to buy free standing towel rail

Post by Gregjam »

I searched the forum and have been keeping an eye out but have been unable to find anywhere selling the free standing wooden towel rails you often see in older hotels. Just spent a couple of nights at Platoo 'resort' between HH and CA which had one in the chalet and her who shall be obeyed has brought the subject up again. The type I am after is approx 1 metre high and 1.5 metres long and can take about 5 towels on rails running the length og the stand. Does anyone know where I can get one without losing an arm and a leg. I am also looking for a cheap but not flimsy 2 seater bench seat to put outside the house so I can sit there. I don't really want one of those concrete chairs and while being sturdy and weather resisitant it should not be attractive to the local light fingered brigade.

They did sell the freestanding towel rails in Home Pro. I bought 3 there a couple of years ago. Not sure if they still have them on the shelf. They were a flatpack design with 4 rails. choice of dark or light wood finishes

They sell them also as a flat pack in Big Kiang. Certainly the store south of the Petkasem flyover on the right hand side not sure if also in the new store behind Powerhouse.

Thanks for the quick response. Success at Big Kiang on both counts. Her who has to be obeyed duly disappeared with Niece on the motorbike and I apparently got the last bench and a towel rail. Never ceases to amaze me how quickly you can get things delivered here. Nice new pickup appeared not long after their return and now I have an assembly job for the towel rail. Bench already assembled.
