There's a fair on at Queen's Park 19 rai, running from 1st to 10th April. This is a first annual fair of its kind and I think it's organised by VHVF (Village Health Volunteers Foundation - อสม). There's a big banner advert just west of the railway on Chomsin Road. Exciting stuff such as OTOP stalls, cooking contests, health checks, etc. For those who like Thai pop there are daily evening concerts mostly by various RSiam stars (ramwong on first night though). Majestic Creek are celebrating the Songkran Festival with a great deal for the whole of April. There is a round of golf, caddie fee and the use of a buggy for a set fee of 1500 bht. And the beer is two for the price of one, so it makes it an excellent choice for any golfer here for the Songkran Festival.

Thoroughly enjoyed Songkran with the family today. Market Village Foam Party had a live band who were terrific. Then it was into the heart of the tourist area, for icy water delivered without mercy. I wasn't keen to get out there but once I did, had a blast.

For once in my life I did the family thing as well.
Visited the temple to see MIL and then went to lots of other places and ended up seeing my FIL.
A great day and I'm still alive!!
