Power outage

Post by MajorBloodnok »

Hello, :)

experienced first power outage of remarkable duration Saturday morning

around 0220 hrs.

I was woken up by violent gusts of wind and the noise of torrential rain.

Lights started flickering and then the whole area of Soi 94 was plunged in darkness.

It lasted for four hours. Long enough to make you sweat in a bedroom without

air-con, and to make you worry about the contents of our fridge.

Another blackout Sunday morning, but much shorter.

Hope this is not becoming a habit.

I wonder if the whole of Hua Hin was affected.

Kind regards,

MB

If memory serves, the first few storms of the season cause blackouts on 94. I slept through the Sat. one but your description matches how wind and water rearranged things on my balcony.

Nothing unusual when we get a bit of wind and rain. Used to knock out one of the phases in our street and we would get only certain houses having blackouts that were sorted once things dried out a bit. Quality electrical supply.
