Well done Spurs,it was a thoroughly deserved victory !
I thought your unsung hero was Dempsey who had his best game in a Spurs shirt.....that I've seen, anyway.
This might sound a bit harsh but your 3 goals in 6 minutes spell co-incided with Adebayor being substituted. He just doesnt fit into your system.

Anyway, another emotionally charged match coming up.....its got all the ingredients.....Suarez,Gerrard,Mata,Hazard,Benitez,Baa Baa......time to open another bottle of Chang from the fridge !

Should be an, eeeerrm, interesting atmosphere at Anfield today.

The opposition manager will get a better reception off our fans than the Chelsea fans.

Wow, what a game! Second best for an hour (without being awful), but boy, did we whip 'em in that last 20-30 minutes!

Pure coincidence that it coincided with Adebayor going off, I'm sure...

Don't agree with you about Dempsey I'm afraid, Zidane. Yes he scored, but apart from that he didn't do much.

Fantastic goals from Defoe and Bale, great energy from Holtby.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at the commentators, whokept talking about the result with regard to Man U winning the title, when the only important question now is who finishes in 5th place.

Speaking of which...

That was terrible by City who should have wrapped the game up in the 1st half and then just switched off. All very odd and I suspect that will see the end of Mancini? With the talent at his disposal, it's really strange that he can't do better with them.

Obviously an important win for Spurs and I share the view we have the toughest run-in. Not feeling confident about the game today.

I hope Liuz has a good game defensively today and actually remembers his position, he does tend to go walkabout.

As my old man would say when leaving the Lane - 'Well f**k my ol' boots'

I did my weekly commute up to Bangkok tonight, aware that I was missing the game with Citeh.
I was also thinking that if we lost this one, it would be a travesty, bearing in mind the somewhat woeful performances of the Arse in the last few games and the luck that they have had. (Sorry BG)

S0 - I arrived at the apt, turned on the box and there was still 30 minutes to go and the scoreline 1-0 in Citeh's favour.

Well, you can guess what went through my mind - and then wallop - Dempsey, Defoe & Bale struck again.

LUVERLEE

As I said, I didn't see the whole game but I thought that Tom Huddlestone's passing was sublime.

Now I can relax and hope that Liverpoon wallop Chelsea

THAT would make my day.

When Spurs started on their scoring spree why didnt Mancini bring on Aguero instead of Sinclair and Lescott ? He's Citys most potent striker and you would have fancied him to nick a goal.
Dempsey worked very hard d-m.Until Defoe came on he was your only likely scorer with Adebayor being anonymous and Bale having a bit of an off day.
He is an unsung hero,(well, today, anyway)working hard for the team but not always noticed.

Of course,Citehs defeat means that if United beat Villa they will be Premiership champions.....maybe Spurs could do with Villa pulling off an upset and United winning the title at Arsenal, followed by the home match with Chelsea that they will want to win regardless.

I noticed Chelsea handed the European Cup back the other day, we kept our 5th one permanently.

Well that was easy then.... :D

AVB made some shrewd substitutions to win the game for us there... 3 goals in 7 minutes. This makes it ever so lovely to stick one middle finger up at the Chelsea 'Head Hunters' (read numb nuts - J.Terry's included in both) as they and their weird little regime have certainly dropped the ball there and will continue to do so as long as Moneybags Roman stays...

May the beautiful game continue.

May the penis enlarging experiments from both the Chelski and the Citeh owners continue to have hiccups.

During this tough time let us all share a moment for those poor supporters that...

...no longer support a football team but merely show up to watch and support - a Rich Man's Play Thing.

There will be a minute's silence for the supporters of Chelski and Citeh, tomorrow at noon.

It is getting tedious to be honest, that's why I admire teams like Dortmund and Munich, not that I think it should be all about the old guard, Spurs for example have done well.

I wish Benitez would select our best defender for the big games, Luiz on walkabout again for Liverpools equaliser. Starnge penalty, well put away by Hazard despite the crap going on around him.

The referee is out of his depth.

Don't think Terry is your best defender anymore, Benitez is looking at it objectively.

Suarez needs a punch in the face, doesn't help himself sometimes, the tides WERE turning.

Where can you find footballing genius coupled with shear and utter stupidity.

Suarez

First he provides a superb assist to Sturridge 10/10
Then he gives away a stupid penalty -10/10
Then he scores a blinder in the closing seconds 10/10

As for chewing the opposition - I'll leave the press to deal with THAT one.

Anyway - good result for Spurs
