Well spurs only hope now is to overtake arsenal, chelsea proved all the pundits wrong today and battled to a good win.

Bring on spurs next.

Things just got very tricky for us with two last 5 minutes goals, one yesterday and another one today. As Arcadian put it, come on you blues. :cuss: If Spuds win, we are in deep trouble.

Cant understand what Glc is ranting about, not one football pundit would imagine fergie giving benitez an easy ride.

It will now be interesting to see how the last games play out, I read today that chelsea have played 13 more games this season than man u. Yet they still showed the spirit they had at the end of last season.

As for our interim managet to be honest he aint done bad and I hope he gets a job in the top flight.

As for the spurs game, I think terry will start and the best spurs can hope for is a draw.

Liverpool will finish 10-15 points above who?. Hull.

I cross my fingers that that twat Terry does play - gives us a better chance.

Why do you think that?

I thought todays games were poor. Everton were well worth a point at Anfield and that's pretty much all there is to say about that game.

ManU are on their hols already and if there is anything clever about Benitez's selection today, it must be that he understood that?

I thought it was a woeful game, which in reality suited me fine. But a more focused and better selected Chelsea could have finished it earlier, but credit to the waiter, they did what they had to do.

So, onwards and upwards. I suspect the game on Wednesday will be played at a somewhat higher tempo and I expect a stronger XI to be selected.

Not at all. We've just got much better players.

It's always nice when an old team reaches its peak and possibly finishes above Liverpool but that's your lot.

I'm surprised Chelsea forums haven't blown up.

Are they hating Benitez tonight? Claiming Terry did the team talk? Did Mourinho sneak in and rearrange the tactics board?

He's not the player he was and the whole team has to drop deep to accommodate him. Imagine the poor bastard 1 on 1 v Bale?

Stick to the scouser's BaaBaa, it fits. It will be interesting to see if Brendan is given the funds to buy the quality he needs for next season, as he talked of today.

If United had been up for it today, they could have ripped us apart at the back, especially with Luiz going walkabout, however a great player he otherwise is. We relied a lot on Ramires and Lamps playing very disciplined games.

I'm sure we'll have funds.

Sorry if my summary of JT doesn't fit, it's true though. His legs have gone.

I knew it, united winning the league that early and then they take there foot off the pedal, bloody unfair. Lucky Chelsea again, can't believe how we always seem to draw the short straw. Did SAF want that result? Did he want Spurs out of the CL so he can have a stab at getting Bale, I truly think so!

One could also argue that if Liverpoon had had their tame vampire on the pitch, the result would have been very different.

Calm down GLC and JG - it's called footie - don't expect favours from anybody. If the boot were on te other foot and all that.

The CL place is entirely in our own hands - lets just ope that we can rise to it - on current form I have my doubts........

Bring it on.
