there is a shop in Cha-Am that produces bamboo and cane furnitures. If you drive north through Cha-Am towards BKK, the shop is located on your right hands as you basically leave Cha-Am. If you come from the by-pass going north, the shop is on you left hand as you turn south going into Cha-Am. They usually display some of their furnitures outside the shop house close to the road. I don't know the name of the shop, but I have following telephone numbers: 032-472316, 032-470693, 01-9861513.

Used the factory/workshop in Cha Am a few years back to manufacture a self designed small bamboo shelf unit to hold towels and things in our bathroom.

The shelves are rattan with glass on the top shelve.

Momma also knocks up the soft furnishings, so if there is nothing to suite ready made, design your own.

Found the end result excellent.

Word of warning, I had to negociate the price down which I thought a little high when first quoted.

I am familiar with that shop in C-A was hoping to maybe find some other sources because, as chapsul says their prices are way over the top. Thanks for the info so far anyway.

Brought a patio set from the lady with a stall opposite Home Pro in market village. She keeps her stock at home, a couple of sois south of MV.
She imports from Burma I think and may be able to help.

Can not remember price but thought quite reasonable at the time.

Would not touch UV resistant syntheic, as all people we know have found it just that, resistant, with a limited life.
All my real wood items only needed a spot of super glue on some of the raffia bindings and a coat of varnish after about three and a half years of constant exposure.
