Coin Laundry or Inexpensive Laundry Service

Post by Bobbie »

Does anyone know of any coin laundry machines - self service, or an inexpensive laundry service in the new Makro, HH Airport, Soi 5 area? We are moving to a condo with no washing machine & no space for one.

Go up Soi 6. Before the railway line, just as the road takes a small swing to the right, there is open fronted shop that has cars for rent on the left side. Down the small Soi behind the car rental place is a shop that will do your laundry cheaper than you can do it yourself.

I live in the same area, the street next to XXL Restaurant (Soi 8 or 10?) about half way up is a great laundry shop. They do a fantastic job and the price is really good, they iron and all that or you can just have them bulk wash by kg. Can't miss it, they have a pink sign out that says laundry and it's just before the football pitch.

We stay in a condo in the same area and we give our laundry to the staff in the office to be sent and washed. It's inexpensive and comes back within 2 days.

Thanks nomad 127. will check them out.
almirante82, Our condo has laundry service that picks up and delivers but it is very expensive, especially since we live here full time.

Thanks,

The individual prices are posted and much, much cheaper than my condo's service rates. The Bulk (air dry, no ironing) charge is not posted and I mostly do bulk and usually have around 9 kg each visit and he charges me 80 baht. Once I had less laundry and it was 50 baht (I took only my dark clothes and sheets) and once I had a lot more than usual and it was 120 baht. He weighs and gives you the price when you drop off. Just make sure everything is dry before you take to laundry (especially towels) when you are doing bulk.

It is on Soi 10. Make sure you go to the second Laundry on right which has the PINK sign.

The creases are a real problem, when you are going to Hi-So social functions and fashionable dinner parties I admit, but where I socialise, clean and tidy is enough.

Agreed, Hi So functions aside and the necessary business meetings also, I am still amazed at how "er indoors" and the maid can shake those creases out....I will be happy if this remains a mystery so please don't try to enlighten me. I'm very happy in my ignorance. Someone once said ignorance is bliss but I am too ignorant to remember who ( my wife says Thomas Gray but I'm sure he couldn't shake the creases out either)
