But they don't quote the rule...
TalkSport syas:
Several sources are reporting that UEFA regulations demand that "any player who wishes to lift the trophy must be wearing kit", although we can find no evidence of this rule in UEFA's competition regulations.
The rules are here http://www.uefa.com/uefa/documentlibrar ... index.html if anyone wants to prove their point.

Now now DM, don't let facts get in the way, the Daily Mail evidently don't.

I'll bet Platini hates this rule!

Is this a recycled post from last year, or even the year before that?
Try pressing "reset password" to get your old account back.

In the meantime basque in the glory of possibly coming 4th.
I don`t wear a basque, maybe you have one in your wardrobe. But my point was you trot out the same prediction every year, am I right or wrong? One day you may be right.

I don't think challenging for 4th is any great stretch of the imagination, we've improved an awful lot as the season has gone on, especially since our January signings and there's been a whole host of managerial changes at other clubs.

That and the majority of the league is dire, only Spurs and Everton are better than they've been in the last 5-10 years.

I don't particularly rate the United squad, Chelsea and City have both got some great players but something is missing, I don't rate the Arsenal squad. Spurs are decent and with the right signings could really kick on. Everton, Meh. Done well this year.

My early prediction is City and Chelsea will blow a fortune and battle it out for the title and United 3rd because they are just a turd that won't flush.

Hard to say after that without knowing how the transfer window goes, if Spurs keep Bale and sign a decent 20+ a season man I'd say they'd be favourites for 4th. Then again, Arsenal might actually spend some money and we might pull another Coutinho style bargain out of the hat.

It should be an exciting season anyway.

Forgive me if I'm wrong,

But did you not say liverpool will be 15 points ahead of us next season, surely that means you will be battling it out with man city next season.

Or have you already lost faith in your beloved liverpool.

The cracks are beginning to show already.

Hey dont worry we will keep the flag flying for ya.

As I said a few days ago, if Moyes brings in the like of Fellaini and Baines, I can see Utd keeping their hands on the trophy, plus Moyes could have the enviable opportunity of having never won any silverware, put that omen to bed with his first competitive game - the Charity Shield!!

Spoken like true politician, don`t answer the question just introduce a load of red herrings. In true Jeremy Paxton style: did you or did you not predict a much higher finish for Liverpool this year? And do or do you not have basque hidden away in you wardrobe, perhaps worn during your visits to Thailand? :naughty:

I've forgiven and you're wrong, unless you support Everton.

I thought Liverpool would do better this season, it's not like i predicted a runaway league win.

Liverpool, the Blackburn rovers of the premier league.

On a serious note I dont see your American owners spending big in the transfer window, never mind I'm sure we may have some cast offs that we can throw in your direction.

Blackburn Rovers? That doesn't even make sense.

Yeah, you've done so well with your cast offs buying Torres and selling us Sturridge.

It will be interesting to see how Sturridge does longer term, rather than just with an immediate impact? He had that at the start of last season, but faded and then lost his place.

He's got a lot of talent, but for me, was too wasteful - in possession and with chances. I was interested that Chelsea were happy to off-load him so quickly, despite the fact it left us short of cover. But the way we have been set up this season, with a lone forward doesn't really suit his style of play and for that reason he may do better at Liverpool?

We clearly need at least one more forward and I'd like to see Lukaku back who has clearly benefitted playing under Steve Clarke, but there was word in the press that he might join Swansea on loan next season?

Wasn't it more Di Matteo shunting him out wide why his performance level dropped?

He's surprised me to be honest, I'm really impressed. His only problem that I've noticed is when he's got that little bit of time to think with a chance instead of going on impulse. He's got all the tools to be a great player though.

Swansea want him on loan but if Mourinho comes back it wouldn't surprise me if he used him as his Drogba in his system. Or a move for Benteke maybe?
