1. Wrong, I've already found two but the owners want rid of the whole cars. I have no space.

How much they want for the whole cars?? I went to TI rally school in York,,, I must have been early 20s and they used Mk1 and 2 Escorts,,,, what an awesome day it was, never to be forgotten. One of the first exercises was doing figure of 8s..just using the loud pedal. What an awesome motor

Wot about the place on the left about 8km West of town on the Pala-U Rd..they have allsorts of cars in there, mainly Yanks, but I'm sure I've spotted some UK classics there also..?
If you went along with a Thai national to explain exactly what you want..these guys MAY be able to source such an item as a screen for you..?? (Just a thought).

You really need to try and join one of the clubs, albeit they are mostly in Bangkok. There are several specialist restorers in Bangkok that can source most parts.

20 Years ago when I bought my Range Rover to Thailand and there was then no agent, a shop on Sukhumvit told me that they could make a new screen for me. I believe that the shop is still there, but not sure. There is another shop out on Soi 77 towards Swampy Airport that restores old cars. The owner is a young bloke that speaks English, may be worth following up, I will see if I can find his phone number.

There is a Mk 1 parked outside the Southern bus Station in Hua Hin every day..well the owner must work there, and just MAY be able to help you..??? (Again take Thai speaker ).

I have seen a young lad sat in a souped up mark one at the bus station written on the side of the car was Ford Acort i think it was black or dark blue, is that the one US.
