She left her Thai address and bank details with the solicitor as requested. To be continued.

With respect Roel, we've all moaned about the Thai postal service at one time or another. Hopefully it will be that simple.

It appears the reason that my friend did not hear anything so far is that the estate is not sold yet. I am off the case now as a British friend of the deceased is now assisting my friend. She trusts this gentleman so everything will probably be alright. Thank everyone for your support and input.

Unfortunately Roel the housing market in the UK is very slow. As stated earlier the executors may be holding out for a high price and can afford to wait. There are also regional variations in house sales. Ive known of properties which have stayed on the market for 4 years, although if this one in question is - as far as we know - unoccupied it probably wouldn't help to let things drag on, so let's hope it sells soon!
