Soda siphon

Post by NOKYAI »

I'm packing for at least a years stay in Hua hin. I already have a fully equipped house etc

Can I bring a soda siphon and sparklets bulbs?

Will they go bang on the plane?

Can I but replacement sparklets bulbs / canisters

I know you can buy soda water cheaply in bottles but I like a soda siphon!

I know this is not high on anybody's list or very important .....just wanted to know?

The canisters won't explode on the plane, partly because the entire plane is pressurized to about 7000 feet but mostly because you won't be allowed to take them on the plane, either as carry-on or in the hold.
Check with your airline first, if the canisters are small enough you may be allowed to take them in an approved case.

Check here for FAA rules which does allow for small canisters but they must be part of a life jacket. http://www.tsa.gov/sites/default/files/ ... hure_0.pdf

Here in Asia at the margins of the civilised world, sometimes you have to rough it a little.
It will be hard at first but slowly over the years you will come to terms with the fact that you have to drink bottled soda. Be sure not to let the natives know that you are suffering, they will take it as a sign of weakness.
